So everything we were predicting her since 2006 is coming to pass. Wonderful!

You know what we tried to save the bloody franchise unfortunately money talked louder than common sense. They are going to drive the series strait in to a wall at 100 mph, it is like watching a train wreck unfold. We can see where it started to go off the rails, where the series got in to trouble and nobody listened to our warnings.

I'm a sure of one this the sycophantic fan boy still clapping and cheering for QoS will be clapping all the louder for Spyfail.

While those of us who were fans of Cubbys series for 40 years and Bond in general for 60 years are left with nothing.

Jackman MUST revive it. A fourth Daniella film will end the franchise with irreparable harm.

I'm worried it won't survived his third. Everything thing we heard day one about this script , this director, shot warning flares in the air.
All that talk about going back to 'classic Bond' and 'lessons learned from' QoS was pabulum to placate the useful idiots in the Eon fanbase.

Now they are likely on the cusp of making a film the world audience will not forgive. Eon fanboys will forgive just about any careless nonsense put out however the general movie going audience can walk away next year and never look about without a hint of regret.

Do not worry.............once the green vegetable's failure is revealed once again, Sony will tell her to get lost and hibernate with her lost soul brother Mikey. Jackman will come in, invigorate to the role, and gross over $600 million in his first Bond film. FBF will do the contracts, Ale will do the casting, Mazer will do the accounting with $150 million to watch over, and I personally will see to it the queen B has NO say in Bond 24.

I am very afraid for the 23rd movie BUT I also think, like BJ said, that Sony and MGM are at this point stepping in. MGM CANNOT afford a failure, and if this doesn't do well (correction, if this doesn't do SENSATIONALLY well) the knives will be out to end it immediately. I just hope that it's not a disaster because like you I'm afraid if that was the case, we'd be left with no franchise and I REALLY don't want to even consider that thought.

Put it this way, I was chatting with a young friend who is an actor last night and he said these exact words "Bond used to be something to idolize. A myth. IT WAS BOND! Everything about it was fabulous. Everyone wanted to be Bond because it was so unattainable, stylish. Even Bond girls were a major deal, not just Bond himself. And everyone bowed down to the Bond actor because, well, he was Bond. Now after Daniel Craig? Nobody gives a sh*t." And that is the perfect summary of what the green vegetable and the Craigster did to this franchise. (and btw my friend also agreed completely that Henry Cavill should be the next Bond). Coming from an actor.
Do not worry.............once the green vegetable's failure is revealed once again, Sony will tell her to get lost and hibernate with her lost soul brother Mikey. Jackman will come in, invigorate to the role, and gross over $600 million in his first Bond film. Sounds like a perfect plan!

Casting will be as follows (two scenarios based on whether Jackman does it or not, sadly I don't think it's likely but anyway):
Bond - Hugh Jackman
Felix Leiter - Michael Vartan
M - Jeremy Northam
Q - BIG problem. I can only think of actors from the movies of the '60s who would be great in the role. Sigh.
Moneypenny - Karine Vanasse (you can see her on Pan Am, she's French Canadian so big advantage since she's fluent in French too)
Main Bond girl - Kate Beckinsale
Bond girl no.2 - Trisha Helfer
Main Villain - Djimon Honsou

OR

Bond - Henry Cavill
Felix Leiter - Gabriel Macht (from Suits, USA Network show that had a LOT of Bond references)
M- Jeremy Northam
Q - see above
Moneypenny - Rachel McAdams or Karine Vanasse
Main Bond girl - Minka Kelly
Bond girl no. 2 - Taylor Cole
Main Villain - Djimon Honsou

Needless to say, director JJ Abrams and writing crew Roberto Orci - Alex Kurtzman - Jeff Eastin - Aaron Korsh

If I was sony of mgm I would've dragged eon and babs ass into hall right now and ask them what the hell are they doing, recast bond, get some real buzz back into it by casting jackman, get rid of the artsy writers, find a competent screen writer who knows how to make good bond films or take a gamble and put Nolan and Favreau to write one which would have a good balance of the much needed humour this series has missed for nearly a decade and just the right amount of serious that isn't too serious and taking itself far too seriously like it is now and finally set them straight and get them off whatever d**n planet they're on since it's not earth and tell them bond isn't mature villains and emo secret agents who look like common everyday thugs or football hulligans, bond was something special and it meant a lot to everyone once and it needs to go back there now, because like cregg in cr when he replied about the martini guess what cregg do we look like we give a d**n, before you we d**n well did.

Sorry again for rant guys, but why does it feel like the idiots are running the world today for the last 7 or 8 years and the minority who should be running it aren't.

Favreau is nothing great to me Shaken. Campbell as the introducing director for Jackman would be fine. He did a fine job in GE. Favreau still annoys me from his 'Friends' days as Cox's boyfriend and he bombed with Cr-Aliens at a huge loss and I find Iron Man nothing that great to enlist him for a Bond film. Ale, submit your resume to SONY, not Eon.

What I fear most is Bond 23 making more money than CR and QOS at the box office (especially here in the US) as well as getting nominations from high profile American movie awards (especially the Oscars).

And if Bond 23 makes more money than both CR and QOS at the box office (even here in the US) and/or receives even a single Oscar nomination (yes, that includes the technical category), you may as well as go for Carrot Top as James Bond. Or OJ Simpson.

Perhaps I should leave out OJ due to him being troublemaker.

According to Rog (Bond #3) as after the casting of DC, any idiot can play Bond. Anyway, we may as well forget about traditional types like Hugh or Henry and go for direct opposite choices like Carrot Top, Lucky Diamond Rich, or the Blue Man Group.

And that's only if Bond 23 makes more money than both CR and QOS at the box office (even here in the US) and/or receives even a single Oscar nomination (including the technical category). I've said before, and I can say it again.

CARROT TOP FOR BOND!
LUCKY DIAMOND RICH FOR BOND!
BLUE MAN GROUP FOR BOND!

Hope its more upbeat and enlightening than was the case for QOS!
