It's funny that a lot of people have said the tintin film is ripping off uncharted series (ps3) tintin does the same death defying stunts, ( I know tintin did some in the cartoon but not the superhuman ones he seems to do in the film) and again tintins eyes are all wrong, he looks more like bobby from king of the hill in the film then tintin, first tintin should be in his teens or near there, he was never a pre-teen.Dr. No wrote:The tin tin previews...um I think it would have worked better as a animated cartoon. You know the creepiest children movies I eve saw was the The Polar Express, the eyes looked wrong. Zombies or somthing.
I like the idea of this film it would be nice to have good family movie outthere this winter.

I don't see Hugh as the 7th Bond but rather as the real 6th Bond if only DC and his Bonds are to be removed from the Bond canon completely.

Well, it looks like if Jackman hadnt of been in the X-men series afew years ago, he would of been interested in the Bond role, and would of had a good chance of getting it.bjmdds wrote:http://blog.moviefone.com/2011/10/19/hu ... bond-role/ I wonder what the green veggy at Eon thiks about the media circus on this subject now? Hugh says he's still interested in the Bond role, but for him to get the part it would really need for Craig to retire after the next film, as the years are rolling, as Jackman is 43 years old now.

Thing is, Craig even let this slip a little, is the studio is not particularly interested in his returning for Bond 23. A lot of little things feed this undoubtedly his salary and prickly nature are easily at the top. Jackman is stealing their headlines without trying, on the flip side PR have to work very hard to get Craig to do simple things to get him more favorable coverage. He is a sour interviewer and rarely has the good graces/or is a charmer to be an enjoyable interview. Someplaces he does well enough however most of the time he is standoffish with people who would like to cooperate with fawning coverage.
One thing is very clear the Bond 23 budget is drastically "scaled back", compared to Quark's budget the 1969 moon landing was scaled back. Quark is the most significant rock around EONs neck, their Bond lost audience and their production lost money for the studio after all was said done. The studio would very much like a fresh start with new Bond. However Bond is still a partnership.
EA what do you think of the rumor of Craig growing beard for Bond 23?

Is it another DAD per title sequence stunt (Bond Captured again!) ? Or could they be dumb enough to actually film the movie with Craig's face completely obs..cu..red..... Hey maybe they are on to something
Difference is one man can pull off a beard the other well you know the rest

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
Craig doesn't need to retire, they can just hire someone else after Bond 23. The contract envisages it. And if it doesn't perform well at the box office, they can also fire him (thus no settlement). I agree Hugh may be too old at this point for the part BUT and this is a big but, Craig looks WAY older than Hugh Jackman does, so Hugh could do a couple no problem. Not to mention if Jackman was involved, stay assured he wouldn't create all the problems, circus and drama that Craig has created around this (all this ridiculous talk about weird villains and a "different" Bond is MOST certainly his responsibility, too, since he's the one who pushes for certain absolutely inadequate changes to the character and the story to be featured). With Jackman they'd be forced to get quick into production and have coherent, good scripts or he'd put up with none of it. So, really, it would certainly be a good thing for the franchise. I agree anyway that they need to make a long-term investment at this point so I don't think anyone above 35 should be considered, if we want to have the REAL James Bond of the new millennium. And anyway I maintain that the only one perfect fit for this at this point is Mr Cavill.English Agent wrote:Well, it looks like if Jackman hadnt of been in the X-men series afew years ago, he would of been interested in the Bond role, and would of had a good chance of getting it.bjmdds wrote:http://blog.moviefone.com/2011/10/19/hu ... bond-role/ I wonder what the green veggy at Eon thiks about the media circus on this subject now? It's interesting that the news is making the rounds like this though... and what's even more interesting is the TIMING of this. Right before they start shooting Bond 23. I think Sony and MGM are sick and tired of EON and its antics at this point. And they're starting to put around the "new actor" gossip so that the ball starts rolling. I know for a fact they are keeping Cavill in the loop, so I can only hope that sensibility FINALLY takes over and they kick the green vegetable (Trademark BJ) to the curb and have Mr Cavill take over. BUt before that, they'll have a chance to destroy the franchise for good with Bond 23.

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
Jackman would be 44 once he started filming Bond 24 in 2013. He could do 2 additional through 2017. After Jackman's three film limit over 4 years, Cavill would be 34 and THEN be the perfect replacement. Jackman/Cavill would soldify the franchise for 15 years. Nobody else is out there to do it. It MUST be them. This sudden worldwide press on Jackman as Bond is not a random event. Something is going on outside of Eon's control and Cr-egg's consistent box office flops, especially CR-ALIENS, must have something to do with this. I hope Cr-egg is done.
By the way, If EON believes that parading a "bearded Chia-Pet" as Bond on the silver screen will augment their film, they are NUTS

For Hugh to publicly come out now and state this is noteworthy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qj84HiE6uKk "Australian actor Hugh Jackman has hinted that he might play the role of British spy James Bond in the future."
According to the Sunday Express newspaper, Jackman who is London for the making of his new film 'Les Miserables' admitted that he was approached in the past to play the role but he refused due to prior commitments.

Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, which controls half the 007 franchise, reorganized itself in bankruptcy court. Sony Corp., whose Columbia Pictures will distribute Bond 23, is having its own financial tough times. It’s up to MGM and Sony to finance Bond 23 and the world is a lot different in 2011 than it was in 2008.

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
I'd be fine with a beard if needed for some specific mission needs. Though it does look terrible on Craig, but if the story justifies it JUST for a minor part of the movie, then fine. I am absolutely against it in general terms or if it's because of effing "soul searching" and the like, since Bond is not supposed to do that while looking like a fisherman, like you saidNo, no Craig with a beard in Bond 23 would not go down well, Bonds supposed to look suave...not look like a fisherman!
Anyway back to Jackman..........i wonder what Craig thinks about Jackman showing interest in the Bond role?
Weren't they not so long ago buddies when starring in a play in the US?

About Jackman, quite sure he never told Craig "oh btw you Barney Rubble lookalike, I was approached before you and now I'm thinking to go get what was mine to begin with, since ya know, I have the looks and the acting skills to present an actual James Bond to the public."

And about the above, my friend Rosa is right: the real perfect role for Craig is Barney Rubble in a new Flintstones movie. He looks EXACTLY like him!

Like I said above, it's the timing of this that is quite interesting. Right before they start shooting? And they're so d**n late with the movie... maybe it's a Sony/MGM strategy to put pressure on EON.For Hugh to publicly come out now and state this is noteworthy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qj84HiE6uKk "Australian actor Hugh Jackman has hinted that he might play the role of British spy James Bond in the future."

BJ you are KILLING ME!!! "bearded Chia-Pet" and the assonance this has with an Italian word makes it just downright HILARIOUS! Danno and Jackman were not all buddy-buddy was they appeared a few years ago during that Steady Rain (or whatever) cop drama, the history was Jackman really didn't like Craig because Craig had stole a role from him (as he saw it. He even had a slang term he used for Craig). This was early days stuff, I can't remember which film it was but it was rubbish.English Agent wrote:No, no Craig with a beard in Bond 23 would not go down well, Bonds supposed to look suave...not look like a fisherman!![]()

From what I understand Jackman was never offered the role (Bond) properly, he did ask to see a script and EON never got back. I don't think he got the opportunity to say thanks but no thanks. What Danny Boy thinks I don't know, most believe he will be happy to get his third and duck out. If this is the case he probably couldn't care less since he is signed and getting the payday, however Dan has a neurotic streak and can weirdly narcissistic at times, then other times he seem to let it roll off him. I'd love for Danny to be looking crosswise at Jackman wondering what was going on because Jackman has the career and Danny can try to play hard ball but he can't launch a hot dog stand successfully.
Also Danno has the bad rep of being a poor promoter, a rep not helped by his string high dollar of bombs. He got to Cowboys set and started rewriting the role then was a prickly cuss when he was required to go forth and promote it. Making a movie is stressful enough, unknowns can be never ending headache, if it hasn't happened already very soon people are going to be asking themselves why should they bother with a overrated prima donna, worse yet a prima donna who has no draw.

Any actor that shows class and gives a d**n about the role does their best to still look like their character and look cool wheras as people that don't show class don't give a d**n (like cregg).
