Apart from GE, I don't think any of the Brozza titles were any good.
Hey Sweeney good to see you and Skywalker around.

TWINE was a great name too, although it did sort of fall in the TND and DAD name theme not all bad IMHO it kind of set up the feel of what Bond movies should feel like.
Heyy Doc.
I didn't mind TWINE, because it referenced Fleming. The problem was, it sat between TND and DAD like you said, losing its impact as a title.

At least they found an acceptable combination of words people recognised. SK sounds like a computer generated name from the Americans at the Pentagon.
I'm no fan of Skyfall either...sounds like a video game, like everyone here is saying.

I agree with Kris on using Fleming titles. I'd take The Hildebrand Rarity or Risico or The Property of a Lady any day over this garbage....if its true.

I can see why the film studio hasnt used these last 3 Fleming titles, they are not exactly public friendly and dont give out any feel of dynamism.

'Skyfall'...........not quite sure what to make of this title (if it is true) it doesnt really give a clue to the possible theme of the film, it sounds more like a title for a science fiction or disaster movie.............and i'am sure if the film is a disaster, some here will refer to it as 'Downfall' :)

You are wicked EA!

ps: i saw a post from 'Skywalker' on this site recently.....i thought he'd come back to haunt me! :)

I see it's just been officially anounced "Skyfall ", can't see why they couldn't of used the last of Flemings titles.

Daniel Craig is Chicken Little in Skyfall

The name does not sell the idea of Bond at all. Neither does Craig for that matter however depending on how small the P&A budget is a bad title can hurt them.

Interesting news from Scotland, looks as if Mazer was correct about the films timing. They say the Bond film finale is going to be filmed there in February, meaning Eon is cramming 8 months of work in to 4

If they are right about this being Bond 'Ancestral home' I would almost bet that home will be called Skyfall. Time to get the Wellies on the muck is starting to rise

BBC says "rumoured" in the story Blowfeld posted, meaning it's probably bollocks. It sounds like one of those working titles that the press quotes as real, like Avatar or Beneath the Ice.

I'm hearing good things about the new Jackman movie.. kind of surprising. The derby looks good for it too.

Skyfall,, Skyfail comes to mind instantly. Honestly I associate it more (at this point ) with another crappy movie I'd never try to watch again[glow=red] Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow [/glow]

'Skyfall' could be the name, as it seems to be gaining more ground, with this title being reported in the newspapers today.
Remember, thats how we all got to know 'QOS' was the name for Bond 22, just before the official news was released of the title.........ie due to the fact that the film studio had been buying up web domain names related to its new Bond film with the title included.

Anyway, we shall see!

Incidently 'BJ' the story of 'Chicken Little'...............is known to us in the UK as 'Chicken Licken' as us 50+ somethings were taught this story at primary school in the 60's! :)

I'm fairly new to this Twitter lark, but I just signed up to follow @realDanielCraig. Not really the go-to place for Bond news, though. His last tweet was dated Jun 26th and reads "Unless MGM sorts themselves out, we can't make the new Bond film. It's suppose to be out in Nov. 2012, lets hope we can get it going again."

Regarding Bond film titles.....EON does seem to have a bit of a problem with them.

I remember 'Tomorrow never Dies' wasnt the intended title for PB's second outing as Bond, as it was originally titled 'Tomorrow never Lies', but due to some mix up (i cant remember exactly what happened), the title was announced out wrongly.

If you think of it, the original title made sense in relation to the film, the title as it became, makes no sense whatsoever!

Skyfall, as a title, seems to be dividing people over at MI6. Interesting. Just as many people love it as hate it. I'm with the people that say it sounds like a video game.

They are nuts. No wonder we got what we got with QoS. And this is at this point de facto crammed and put together last minute. I am just having a laughter attack thinking how they'll try to spin it. Garbage is EON's normal modus operandi as the Latins said. Why do it well when you can do it bad? Join the EON train!
If they are right about this being Bond 'Ancestral home' I would almost bet that home will be called Skyfall. Time to get the Wellies on the muck is starting to rise
   This made me laugh out loud. AH at least the Craigster is a neverending source of humour.

Meantime, in the world of actually talented, successful actors who look and move like James Bond should:
Box Office Report: Hugh Jackman's 'Real Steel' Looking to Open North of $25 Mil bit.ly/qm5JFV
Saaame as the expectations for the Craigster's latest movie. Precise.

ETA: Hi Sweeney! Haven't been on much lately myself and hadn't seen you in a while... good to see you back! And  where did Skywalker post!?

Your posts are fine. Anyone notice Dream House fell to number 8 yesterday and will be out of top 10 this weekend already? Add that to the Chicken Little rumors this week and you wonder how Danielle can even show his face in Hollywood any longer. His box office bombs will become fodder for jokes at the Hollywood parties.

Supposedly it was a fax smudge changing the L to D. I guess it makes sense as a Newspaper peddling lies either way it was a bit of a hash up.
