What the cruciferous green vegetable did in firing Brosnan was a disgrace in 2005 after what he accomplished for the franchise. Who knows, if someone other than Remington Steele replaced Dalton, the franchise might have sunk. Brosnan deserved 2 more films and Cr-egg deserved none.

What did Brosnan accomplish other than being popular? IMO he didn't add much and when he finally did do something interesting like in DAD it was too little too late. He didn't lose anything when EON started looking for another candidate since he already fulfilled his four film contract, which is more than you can say for Dalton sadly.
bjmdds wrote:The Brosnan era saved what was left of the Daltonian fiasco.
Not for me. Losing Dalton two films in was a big loss IMO. Besides it's not out of the realm of possibility that a third Dalton outing might have been a success. Look at Roger Moore's tenure, he had one hit film, then an underperformer and then came back with third outing that solidified his place in the Bond series. The six year gap might have just been enough to spark interest in the hype of the return of Bond in cinema post-Cold war, whether it was Dalton starring in it, Brosnan or anyone else. I'll admit Brosnan was a popular Bond among the popcorn eating masses, but I wouldn't give him that much credit since he didn't do much in the role besides stand around with a smug expression overplaying the smooth operator act.

Call his era a fiasco but I'll take a professional like Dalton over a TV actor like Brosnan when it comes to Bond.

Going to the big comic convention MP?

No. One of these years though,I'm going to go at least one of the days, just to see what it's like.

The heat index in NYC will reach 115 deeeeeeeeeegreeeeeeees today! People are cooking steaks on the dashboards of their cars! The movie theatres will love it though with everyone seeking indoor recreation to stay cool so I would think HP will do great here again, beating Captain America at the box office. Chris Evans is not a big draw. One week until the lemon puckered cowboy's film takes center stage and flops!

http://movies.msn.com/movies/movie-crit ... ?GT1=28101 Captain America has excellent reviews and is being related to Bond films as well. Finally a film praising America unlike that green vegetable's sick and perverted world view of us: "It's light and bright and brisk, but never glib: It's a layer cake made of one part Indiana Jones, one part James Bond and one part "Inglourious Basterds," with the bright colors, tone and style of a four-color comic book as the icing holding it all together."

Capt America looks great but my money's all on Potter. I check out the showtimes of the theaters around my location, and HP has more screenings than CA.

That is really too hot.........it must make people feel lethargic and ill.

I read today that the US was having a heatwave in the Central and Eastern regions.

Is NYC a humid place, as that is what makes the heat uncomfortable?

I've read today on a.n.other Bond site, that it has been claimed that DC has been asked to beef up again for his roe in Bond 23.
Apparently DC says he was skinny in C&A, which is probably why some here thought his hat looked too big for him! :)

Anyway DC claims, that they have got a really good script for Bond 23 (that has yet to be seen).

It could be a fact that contrary to popular belief, that EON were in private, hurt by the reception of QOS, and are trying to make amends for the next film.

Mind you i didnt think QOS was going to be lousy! So who knows?

Lol there came a time in life where playing bond wasn't a requirement of bulking up, just looking the part and keeping yourself in reasonable shape, it's like creggs auditionining for an arnie movie from that (oh wait facepalm) :( )

Regarding the script in otherwords it's an out of this world, piece of devincis finest work, smoothered with a side helping of bettledung and a guy pasty and dead enough to be mistaken for a zombie (or pasty face mcgee in short).
Bond....James bond....Rest in peace (1964-2002)

It's 104 and factoring in the humdity, the index hit 115 real feel. Yuck. NYC is not really that humid most of the summer except the dog days of heat. No relief for 2 more days! :cuss:

I hope you're right about this. One of the news said that CA aims to take down the boy wizard. This I really fear.

Fear not FBF about Bond 23 being any kind of a hit. When this film opens 1 week after Bond 23 with Cr-egg, it's all over for the 'egg film: The Twilight Saga:
Breaking Dawn (Part Two)

Box Office Mojo is forecasting Cap to win.

That's what I'm saying. The finale is just too big to fall down like this.

http://music.msn.com/music/article.aspx ... &GT1=28102 This is why I despise these Gag-Gag fans and all those fakes who preach tolerance. Gag-Gag got only 3 nominations to this trash MTV awards show.
