Happy bday formerbondfan
, and yeah harry potter 7 pt 2 was great, just a shame that the 7th book was the only one properly adapted (like it should've been) from the 3rd film onwards, wish they'd go back and give hp6 the same treatment for completely changing most of the book and adapting little.

Bond....James bond....Rest in peace (1964-2002)

Even J.K. herself admits there are limitations in putting everything from book to film.shaken not stirred wrote:Happy bday formerbondfan, and yeah harry potter 7 pt 2 was great, just a shame that the 7th book was the only one properly adapted (like it should've been) from the 3rd film onwards, wish they'd go back and give hp6 the same treatment for completely changing most of the book and adapting little.

Prequel books in the making for Potter's folks like Star Wars 1,2, and 3? What say yee? http://www.bing.com/videos/watch/video/ ... >1=42010 This Spiderman reboot won't top the Dark Knight Rises next summer and will NEVER top Tobey's 3 films. Too many superhero films in the summer of 2012?

But will Spidey reboot destroy Bond 23? It better be, and when it comes to next year, anything is that is not Bond is an enemy of Bond. If Trek 12 releases during the same time as Bond 23, we're good. Pierce and Patrick went against each other in 2002, and Patrick lost. And I hope this time that DC is one who will lose not only to Chris Pine but to everyone. And I also hope that Bond 23 ends up like Star Trek: Nemesis.

BOND bosses have ordered Daniel Craig to pile on the pounds after he went “scrawny” for his latest movie.

The 007 star lost more than a stone for blockbuster Cowboys and Aliens. He now has just eight weeks to beef up.
Craig, 43, admitted: “I didn’t want to be big, I wanted to kind of be scrawny, that’s kind of the cowboy characters I always kind of liked, Lucky Luke, kind of scrawny.”
But Hollywood chiefs want him back to his muscle-rippling, six-packed best for Bond 23, due for release in October next year.

A source said: “The last thing we want is a skinny Bond. We want him back looking as toned as he did in those swimming trunks in Casino Royale.
“He bulked out originally for the role and we want him to do it again. He’ll be pumping a lot of iron in the next few months.”
Craig, who also appeared in Quantum of Solace, is expected to start shootinghis first scenes for the film in November.
Daniel Craig uses trainer Simon Waterson and his “total body workout” that burns calories but also jump-starts muscle growth. Daniel will be on a low-carb diet and only allowed alcohol at weekends.

God, I hope not. Harry's story has already been told, and I'd hate to see JK Rowling turn into George Lucas.bjmdds wrote:Prequel books in the making for Potter's folks like Star Wars 1,2, and 3? What say yee?

You got that right. Prequels I'm ok with, but the reboot concept is rather abused these days.Thunderpussy wrote:I'm sick to death of prequels and Reboots.

Agree, what the hell was wrong with just getting better writers, all it shows is that if you made it then you're too stupid to make the right changes with a reboot.FormerBondFan wrote:You got that right. Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
Garfield's Spidey looks realistic in vein of Iron Man. To be honest, it seems well made, but the Spidey is just too soon to be reset, considering the success of the first three films. If you want a reboot of a superhero film, try Fantastic Four or Ghost Rider. And NO rebooting Hellboy please.bjmdds wrote:Your opinion of the Garfield Spiderman trailer vs. Tobey's?FormerBondFan wrote:But will Spidey reboot destroy Bond 23? And on the side of the Boy Who Lived, his final journey has now made over $600 million just 5 days after release, now that's bigger than the overall gross of any DC's Bonds.

As for my thoughts on Spider-Man, at least they got a better cast this time. Tobey Maguire's came off too doe-eyed and goofy. James Franco should have had the role back then.
Garfield seems like a much better choice, but I do hope they write his character better. The teaser suggests he's angsty with his James Dean hair, I hope we see more to his Parker than this. One thing that was sorely missing in the Raimi films was Spider-Man's smartass quips.

Martin Sheen vs. Cliff Robertson? It's too soon for a reboot origin though for the webbed one.
