In her new book, Area 51: An Uncensored History of America's Top Secret Military Base, Annie Jacobsen delves into the nuclear tests and secret aircraft development on the carefully guarded federal preserve in Nevada. But the book's most memorable passages detail Area 51's legacy as purported UFO Central—and, in particular, what happened there after the alleged 1947 crash of a flying saucer near Roswell, N.M. Jacobsen's take veers from the standard conspiracy narrative in just about every imaginable respect: The saucer, she writes, was Russian-made and crewed by human children who were surgically altered to resemble aliens by Nazi death-camp doctor Joseph Mengele, acting at Joseph Stalin's behest."

All these conspiracy stories are fascinating....its makes you wonder how many deep secrets our goverments have kept from us over the decades.

Maybe the aliens at 'Area 51' helped the Americans with there rapid intervention into Space. We know the Germans certainly helped out! :)

EA (Earthman)
Yep Definitely. The "reptilians" were a big help JFK made subtle references to them in his speeches to acknowledge their contributions to our race. The "grays" are a separate species at war with the "reptilians" not children with Nazi enhancements. _.//

Area 51 is real, I do not think it is a space colony for aliens. It has got to be government projects and stuff. If they were trying to hid a alien base we wouldn't know about it and it would be based in NYC.

Latest rumour!

A French James Bond site is quoting that in the forthcoming Bond film, there will be a motorcycle chase on the Great Wall of China.

I wonder how they got that news....maybe a French stunt team were contacted?

What happened to the motorcycle chase over a icy lake featuring iron man armor from Q div?

The great wall part of it make it sound fake, it is hard to get permission from china to film there .

I too seem to remember reading a post along time ago about a "Q" Bike for Bond 23, Now it's just moved from a chase in Canada to a chase in China. :)

Google Translation form the French fan site.
http://www.jamesbond007.net/007/actuali ... clusif.htm
According to a source of confidence, we can say today that Bond 23 will have a chase scene on the Great Wall of China. The scene had already been scheduled for the first version of "Licence to Kill" and imagined, then, by director John Glen. But the negotiations with China, calling such a veto over the script failed, the plot was altered and located in Central America in the film as you know it.

The movie "Tomb Raider - The Cradle of Life" included a pursuit that took up this idea. We obviously hope that the effects of Bond 23 are less visible than in the production of Jan de Bont!

Eon has a habit of recycling good ideas are not used for various reasons. The most famous of the series is the scene of "For Your Eyes Only" where a boat pulls Bond and his beautiful attached to a rope in the hope that they will go crashing against the reef. The scene was repeated in several scenarios, but refused by the directors who thought it too hard to film, until John Glen, once again, bravely tackle it.

But this is an anti-Cr-egg Bond site and that needs representation.

It would take more than just defending the Classic Bond era (especially Pierce) to combat EON and those Pro-Craig minions. Bond is now nothing more than someone whose skin and image that have been desecrated by the impostor. In my point of view, being an Anti-Craig is more just honoring the first 20 Bond movies and the first 5 Bond actors. It's mostly about switching with other franchises (especially Potter) as an act of retaliation against Queen Bitch Babs for what she did to Pierce by wasting his talents while he was Bond and horribly dismissing him, leaving the best and most popular Bond since Sean to rot. Let's face it, Bond is dead. As a Pierce fan, I'm been ridiculed and bashed, and if defending Pierce himself isn't enough, it's best to use other franchises (like Potter) against those minions. That's why I have my avatar in non-Bond mode. HP, LOTR, Trek....not to mention Michael Jackson.

I agree with BJ. The strategy of using Potter as a stick to beat Bournd with makes absolutely no sense. If Potter is a huge box office success (which seems all but inevitable), how many people are going to think that it has anything to do with the casting of Daniel Craig as James Bond? My guess is one (FBF).

If Potter does Avatar numbers it won't affect Eon one bit. Brocolli is not interested with anything except her own ego. Bond 23 failing will create the hysteria required to oust the 'green vegetable' from Eon.

Quite. Avatar did Avatar numbers and that didn't affect Bond either. Not because of Babs' ego, but because it has nothing to do with Bond. Another spy thriller doing Avatar or Potter numbers might affect Bond, but not a film in a completely different genre.

You guys, I saw something today and my first thought was "I have to post this at DCINB".

What was it?Well, 7-11 is doing a cross-promotion with the Monsters And Aliens movie. They had a big ad for the movie on one of the Slurpee machines, and they have Monsters And Aliens collectible Slurpee cups. Apparently the movie studios think this movie is going to be HUGE. Maybe it will be. But collectible cups?

Correct

Different franchises have there own legions of fans, and appeal to different audiences.........the only franchise that has a similar resemblance to Bond is Bourne, and it was very unfortunate that the producers of Bond were influenced by Bourne in QOS.
There was no need to alter Bond to Bourne, as Bond has such a massive history and following, that people know what to expect from a Bond film.
The only damage that can be done to the Bond franchise is by its producers, and them only.

And next month will be the Rise of the Planet of the Apes. I doubt think CvA will do much because it is a tired idea. Who knows maybe if it is a hit Craig has "laryngitis" next November right before shooting Bond 23 is suppsoed to start.

After watching Living Daylights recently I don't know how the hell Bond ended up like it is now.

General rule of thumb: anything marketed as "collectible" probably isn't.
