OMEGA's James Bond Set to Die Another Day in New Film

I had no idea Daniel was a spokesman for Omega, I suppose there is a money back guarantee. When Pierce was spokesman he was everywhere.

OMEGA's James Bond Set to Die Another Day in New Film

Super-sleuth and OMEGA fan 007 will return to the silver screen in new Bond film slated for late 2012 release.

[ClickPress, Tue Jun 14 2011] It has been announced that OMEGA watches ambassador Daniel Craig will reprise his role as the world’s most famous secret agent James Bond in the franchise’s next film.

Craig, who has been an OMEGA ambassador since 2010, will take on the role of iconic spy 007 for the third time in the franchise’s 23rd installment.

Sony Pictures revealed that the untitled project (currently known only as ‘Bond 23’) is scheduled to hit UK cinemas on 26 October 2012.

Although it is yet unknown whether OMEGA watches will feature within the film, the franchise’s history with OMEGA coupled with Craig’s standing as an ambassador for the luxury brand mean it is a definite possibility.

When the most recent Bond adventure ‘Quantum of Solace’ was released in 2008, Bond wore an OMEGA Seamaster Planet Ocean 600m Co-Axial Chronometer. The watch, which featured a black dial, was the perfect accessory for Bond: stylish, suave and sophisticated yet adaptable to high-risk activities on land and at sea.

Prior to ‘Quantum of Solace’, Bond fans were familiar with their hero wearing OMEGA Seamasters with blue dials on missions since 1995.

With OMEGA clearly the watch weapon of choice for the onscreen version of Ian Fleming’s super-spy, it wouldn’t be a surprise if the watch brand continues to feature on his wrist in the next chapter, which will be directed by Oscar-winning Sam Mendes.

OMEGA is recognised for its quality Swiss watches that have been involved with some of man’s most historical moments, including being the first watch on the moon. Its extensive list of ambassadors includes some of the world’s most iconic figures, including George Clooney, Nicole Kidman Buzz Aldrin and Cindy Crawford. Next year in London, OMEGA watches will for the 25th occasion serve as Official Timekeeper at the Olympic Games.

Well, the namecheck in CR was a pretty generous clue.

Craig has been shilling for Omega since that damned awful scene on the train in CR. He wasn't the ambassador until last year, honestly Bond lost the prestige it had pushing this kind of high end product. The advertisement crammed in are at a ridiculous level, it was bad in Buy Another Day, but CR took it to another level.

Yes. Quite right. My point was it seemed to have taken them a long while to hire him properly. Althou the glowering face of Daniel holding up a watch involved a different image than the suave Bond image Pierce had, Daniel can perhaps be a footballer or a mugger showing off his latest.

I remeber seeing pierce billboards all over the place but in this economy I wouldn't waste the money on an expensive watch I think this goes worldwide as well.

Chief of Staff, 007's gone round the bend. Says someone's been trying to feed him a poisoned banana. Fellow's lost his nerve. Been in the hospital too long. Better call him home.
