He and Barbara make EON now. Michael Wilson has been shoved to the corner.

Someone should tell Naomi Harris that the reason why she wasn't given a script is because there is no script.

That's what I find odd about Bond now: Craig and B. Broccoli run it.
Bring back Bond!

I feel sorry for Mikey Wilson-with Babs and Craggy(lol) running things, he's now the outsider there. :cuss:

Are you KIDDING ME!? Kings of Leon!??! Unreal. And this too, who the hell is Craig to go around and ask? He's not a co-producer, he TAKES money from Bond he doesn't PUT money into it. Unreal.

LMAO I don't think Naomi Harris quite realizes that, she probably thought it was all normal. It's clear they don't always work like that because based on what Henry Cavill said, he was well aware what was going to happen in the movie and he knew they just had to make a choice between a younger or older actor (or rather young and fit or horrible looking LOL). So he did at least have a vague idea where the movie was going. May be different though since he would have played Bond and not a co-star. Don't make me think about this ,just don't. And this girl as Bond girl would be the last blow. All due respect she's TOTALLY classless. I don't care that she's a good actress, that's not enough to be a Bond girl (Actually that has never been a requirement, I'm talking to you, Denise Richards.) It's the usual problem with freaking Daniel Craig and Babs. They pick less attractive people because well, he ain't an Adonis. This girl is ok, but she's very far from being the classy beauty a Bond girl should be. Halle Berry was gorgeous AND a good actress. That's the needed combo. They should get Charlize Theron. Except A)doubt she'd even think about it and B)she'd tower over DC barefoot, let alone wearing evening dresses and heels.

If they want to make craig look good, I'm surprised they haven't asked Samuel L Jackson to drag up,. But The Craigester would probably get jealous of all those wonderful gowns Mr Jackson would get. :D
And saying Craig looks like a Gibbon is a little unfair, ........................................................................................ to Gibbons. 8)
The way Eon is going I will not be suprised to Hear that Craig himself will wright the theme tune, sing the theme tune etc.

The set constructed at the studio depicts main roads, shops, bylanes in the vicinity of the CST Terminus and also the Crawford market.

It is said that the opening sequence will start off with a chase sequence in South Mumbai. The sequence that will also have blowing up of several cars will serve as a right opening to the film.
Sounds like all they need is Craig the script and settings are secondary. They do realize how crazy not being prepared makes them look, nothing to to do with Craig. They could string together a digital Craig form his previous movies and punch out Bond 23. Worse than QOS and worse than their video games featuring Craig.

That might be the answer everyone remember what happened last time whey they picked Alicia Keys and Jack White at the last minute. Keys and White I do not think can stand the song they made so who was pleased by it? At least with Craig sining they already can plan it, he can sing about his emotions and how we should look form them in his nuanced performance. I suggest he sing "Do You Really Want to Hurt Me" by the Culture Club.

Pierce wanted to make modest changes and that was frowned on Craig has so much input it is scary. I don't hate craig but he picks the directors, the writers, the theme song, wasn't Barbra and Wilson suppsoed to do that?

I do agree, that the lead actors are not necessary the best people to make choices for a film such as title songs.

Remember it was Connery who suggested Michel Legrand for NSNA, and the music for that film was inappropriate.

I dont like the, lets say un-bondian choices that have been made recently to Bond films, and it worries me that this trend could continue for Bond 23.

This. So. much. Why not just call Bond 23 Trainwreck and have done with it. Not at all subtle but, as they say, it does what it says on the tin!

And when they do chose to go Bondian it is worse than a screwup. The girl covered in crude oil was implausible logistically speaking while being ridiculous to the audience and this was their nod to one of the most iconic scenes in cinema history! I fear what they will pullout for the 50th anniversary. If it is anything like Die Another Day they might as well sell the franchise to the French :cuss:

On the Dailymail web page it has an article on Bond 23 "the wrecking crew" saying that D Craig will do 2 MORE films after it.
Somehow I hear a lone church bell peeling in the distance, and cries of "Bring out your Dead"

Can you post a link to that article?

If it's true than I'll have to let Bond go. :007:

Take anything you read in the papers about Bond with a pinch of salt. A lot of the tabloid reports are merely hearsay. And of couse if Bond 23 tanks big time, there may not even be two more Bond films!

Bond 23 has to make a profit first another QOS and there will be no point to another for investors. Anyways whoever said two more is talking out of their arse, Craig is contracted for a total of four, it was a former MGM head who misspoke (surprise, surprise!) by saying Craig contract was extended for a total five films. This was right after CR when Craig threatened to quit to get a better contract. Craig will get £8 m for Bond 23 (he also gets percentage of the gross and merchandising), a fourth film with commensurate salary would difficult even under contract, doubly so if Bond is still struggling to eke out a profit..

Danny Boy could make more outside of Bond if his next movies do not flop;

Code: Select all

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo : $6,000,000
Dream House : $5,000,000
Cowboys & Aliens : $6,000,000

As they say work smarter not harder, Bond traditionally takes 8 months of the lead actors time and is physically exhausting. Craig has complained bitterly about how bruised up he gets and how much he hurts after each film. I can't see him do many more even if they can afford to keep him on, Bond is job for someone with a passion, Danno's passion was himself and his career not Bond which he never particularly liked, Cirag's fortune is made so the hunger to torture himself with these kind of jobs will fade as well. I think if Quark hadn't been such a dog he would be happy to leave now, however he wants to appear a success by outlasting Lazenby and Dalton, both of whom are better men and better Bonds.

Saw a rumor site saying Fiennes is in "talks" to be in Bond 23 they were making the comparisons to Voldemort themselves. I think it is the same rumor from before becuase he has 2 or 3 things coming up, he is confirmed to be in Great Expectations so if this is real he has almost no screen time.

It probably wont happen, but i would like to see Fiennes in BOND 23, or another quality actor.
The film is going to need to be exceptional on all accounts, to rid the bad taste of QOS from the publics memory.
Whatever happened to the reports that Javier Baddem had been approached for the film?

Good script, good characters, well directed and edited action sequences, and an excellent film score, is all thats needed for Bond 23!

Not too much to ask for!

I've read several reviews and comments this week that Marc Forster wanted QOS to be confusing and a sort of arthouse type picture
............but what he forgot was to make the picture watchable for the world wide audience to follow.
There are some directors and editors who make a film to suit their ego's, with the fancy tricks they learnt at film school, but they forget who they are making the film for.

Someone who commented on the car chase at the beginning of QOS siad they wanted to see the car chase from a distance so you could follow what was going on, such as in 'Bullitt', but instead we got lots of close up shots of car doors, gearknobs and an array of miscellaneous shots.

If Bond 23 is a stinker, then the franchise will be seriously damaged!
