Say Potter does better than Bond, but isn't the top grossing movie of the year? How is that a victory for the Craigskis?
WB may want to increase the 2d theaters.

I don't think there's ANY doubt that Potter will do WAY better than Bond at this point. And in any case, as Mazer was saying, all depends on the number of theaters the movie is released at.

All here would be in the house of Gryffindor. The pro-Cr-eggs would be in Slytherin house. After Cr-egg's last bi-sexual stunt I would place him in the house of Hufflepuff!

The finale is coming, and 2011 is the 10 year anniversary of Potter film series. It wouldn't make any sense if it doesn't become 2011's top grosser.

When Pierce was Bond, I placed Bond as my top priority. I supported Potter too, but Bond goes first. But with his unfair dismissal, I switched my allegiance completely to Potter.

Both Bond and Potter are British. With all of these corruption going on in the World of Bond, Potter is the biggest escape for some of us Classic Bond loyalists so that's why the finale has to be this year's top grosser, making DC's Bonds look like a piece of trash. When Potter's done, there's still plenty of other franchises out there that serves as an alternative to Bond. For now, our eyes shall focus on the battle of two wizards: one good and one evil.

A straight to DVD remake starring C. Thomas Howell of a straight to DVD Steven Seagal film would make a DC Bond look like a piece of trash.

The cast will be actors who do not already have a job this fall, in other words actors who are not in demand with plenty of free time on their hands. Bond 23 is shaping up to be a hack job.

Incompetence has a new name EON

I think incompetence is insulted to be called like that

Now just to clarify the rumors going around yesterday, the Hollywood Reporter clarified the "it's dead" was old news BUT ended their story with this, which is HILARIOUS I find (not in a good way)
The current wave of stories, including a report in London’s Daily Mail and a Harry Knowles commentary on AintItCool.com, which were both published July 12 (this has got to read June 12, because July well would mean last year LOL), treated the halt on development as if it were breaking news, triggering a wave of new Bond “on ice” headlines that quickly multiplied across the web.

But nothing has changed, according to insiders familiar with the situation.

Work on the next Bond was suspended in April, and that remains the case.
Oh look at that! It's not true that it's dead, BUT HEY production has been suspended since April. And up until April what had been accomplished?  Hilarious, and I mean it. HEY it is not dead, but they're supposed to shoot in October/November (which is way late anyway, Superman starts filming NEXT MONTH) and it's been dead for two months now, since production has been suspended since April. I'd say that bodes well. Surely?

The reason these rumors get a foothold is something bout them rings true, after announcing a release date there has been scant little of official word. Why?

Production is way behind at this point for a movie the starts shooting in a few months, in the business people who know what to look for are puzzled by the lack real news and other casting calls.

They are behind but it is not impossible to cram out a movie, cram out a movie that is any good is another question.

I read a report that said Martin Campbell thought QOS was a lousy film...well he's right there.

I really hope the producers get there act together for Bond 23............in that they dont leave everyting to the last moment,
not giving the production team time to get there part of the film right.

If Bond 23 is another mess...then i might have to go and join another film franchise aka The Muppets.

Lol you're far too generous BJ. What a gentleman. You give him the polite version PLUS Gwyneth Paltrow who is way too hot and classy for him anyway! I'd just go with the uncensored original one:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pc0mxOXbWIU

Though thinking about it "FORGETTING" the horror that was having 2 movies with Craig and a third one coming may be the most difficult thing to overcome... so the polite message works well, too

EA, the news I reported in the previous page was from the Hollywood Reporter, that was stating the whole "bond 23 is dead" talk was old rehashed news, but CONFIRMED that production on Bond 23 has been suspended since April. Which I found hilarious because it's saying they're so d**n late the movie will be horrid anyway, AND production is suspended while they're ridiculously late.

Let's hope Star Trek 2 (not II as in TWOK) will be pushed back to November 2012 so that there will be less talk about Bond 23, especially here in the US.

Bond 23, really does seem dead in the water at the moment. If even the Producers can't seem to have any enthusiasm for their "Product" it dosen't bode well for the film.
