Mark Valley

Post by Kristatos »

Saw a trailer for Human Target on TV and thought its star, Mark Valley, had that Daniel Craig look.

I mention him not because I think he'd make a good Bond, but because I could imagine Babs hiring him anyway.

That show was decent but I think fox canceled it. If anything he looks more like Bond but again not a young Bond.

LOL I'm very familiar with the actor and I actually like him. Way more attractive than Craig, but still ZERO close to the Bond look, even in a tux. I guess if Babs picked him, I wouldn't be as disgusted as I am with Craig. At least this guy IS actually good-looking AND an actually decent actor.

Poirot, a regular Craig critic on the Alternative007 forum, said a while back that Human Target has some of the fun missing from the current Bond. Human Target is quite good fun to watch.

I saw it for the first time last night and enjoyed it, even though they completely changed the premise of the comic book that it was allegedly based on. In the comics, Christopher Chance is a master of disguise who impersonates his clients in order to draw fire away from them. If you take that aspect away, you end up with a completely different character, and it makes me wonder why they bothered buying the rights instead of just creating their own character. It's not like the character has great brand recognition that makes the name worth paying for. Still a fun show, though.

Maybe they bought the rights and then some network executive said "change this so it's like this, it would be better if etc etc". That's what always happens!

"This Hamlet guy is a great character, but...could you make him a little more decisive?" Yeah, I can see that happening.
