Yes, they should never have hired him knowing that a film he would make five years later would tank at the box office. :->

Prior history Kris, prior history. Routh was canned from a USA soap opera LONG BEFORE Superman was a choice. The director should have realized his lack of a following.

I don't think Singer really wanted a "name" actor. Routh was hired because he had a Christopher Reeve-ish quality to him - indeed, my main criticism of his performance is that he tried to replicate Reeve's mannerisms, rather than putting his own stamp on the character. I still think he did a decent job on those terms, though.

From what I am seeing, Cavill should excel in the role IF the public is not too tired already of the Superman storyline. They don't seem to be tired of all of the other superheroes so far, in fact, the superhero film now DOMINATES Hollywood's lack of originality.

Smallville worked because it wasn't quite superman once he is superman the stories start to be less impressive IMO in the comics he swoops in invulnerable to everything he doesn't need to think just push through whatever it is with his great strength. Batman works because their is always something interesting about him and the bad guys he fights, same for spider-man. I'd like to see Cavill's superman in the hopes it will be a truly great film, with the team behind it is possible.

Amy Adams is a decent choice but I never seen Lois as an older woman to CK/Superman. I think she got the role because of her Fighter fame.

Daniel Craig's level of 'I dress myself..and it shows" isn't quite at Helena Bonham Carter levels, but it's getting there!

Hi

Good to see this site back on its feet!

I have noticed that if u type DCINB in the Google search.....the first few dcinb links will take u to a dead end...as they dont have www. in front.

Still no news on Bond 23....um, we should hear something hopefully in the next few months.

I must admit........DC does wear at times a really odd mix of clothing...maybe he doesnt want people to recognise him in public, so he dresses up looking like a farmer. As they say....Rich people dress down, and Poor people dress up!

Steroids eh!..........obviously do wonders for athletes, wanting to take a shortcut to the top of their sport, in the shortest possible time, by building up incredible muscle growth, but steroids obvioulsy shorten your life expectancy considerably, and many users die of heart failure prematurely (well the heart is a muscle as well). Look what happend to the US sprinter Flo-Jo.

Dont worry BJ......everyone will come back here to posting regularly.........i did, as i missed your amusing quips! :D

English Agent, some well known designers have produced clothing lines that were sold at Target which were considerably cheaper than if you bought them at,say, a boutique, or high end department store.

Howdy EA!

We should be back to normal any day now. The tragedy is 2 months of posts were lost those links may never work :(

I am slightly shocked more Bond 23 news hasn't been forthcoming :? They truly are going to botch up the next Bond on the fly.

Funnily enough, that's EON's corporate motto.
