Btw, where is it you work? What's your job?
I am a journalist and a script-writer. I'm sure you'll understand I don't exactly go around public forums stating where I work and with whom, just like nobody sensible does. I've worked at Bloomberg as a journalist for almost 7 years, then moved on to other outlets and in the past 3 years I've also been working with the TV industry in the US. And that is all I'll say. Too much already. Btw I find the above questions and more over the implication you seem to give to them very out of place. You having a differing opinion from mine is no excuse for asking personal questions or implying that I'm incompetent despite what I do, or worse, I don't do what I say I do. Yes, that's how that sentence and those questions came off to me. I don't exactly spend my time researching Barbara Broccoli's private life. Had she been a gorgeous man, I may have been more interested in knowing more  (though frankly I'm not curious about people's private lives in general). Since she isn't, I really don't care about her having or not having siblings. I don't think she does, but I'm not so well-informed on her past as to be sure that's the case. And I don't frankly care.
Getting back to Babs, you seem to forget that EON is run by her and her step brother Michael G Wilson.
So any changes would need to be approved by him. Also Wilson's sons David and Gregg have taken the family path into the Bond films, having worked on several of the films.
You'd be a wise gambler to put money on they're being groomed to take on the family business at some point.
Wilson is not her, so if as I think she doesn't have kids, I stand by my opinion that she'll sell at some point. Especially in such a situation, I can't see her handing over her quota to the Wilson family. I've seen a lot of a very famous family feud go on in first person.. it's extremely unpleasant and never looks the way it actually is. So if this is the current situation, I even more so think she'll sell to someone else.
You don't owe any of us explanations Ale and you are 100% correct in your assessment.
I am not bothered if people ask things in general, provided they aren't personal (and this was). It's the way it was asked and the implication it seemed to have that I found out of place. Thank you BJMDDS! I very much appreciate the kindness. Glad you agree, too. By experience, when companies like those are jointly owned, it hardly ever happens that one of the two partners leaves his quota to kids of the other. Heck, I've never seen it happen. Which is why I think Babs will sell to others at some point.
Wilson's cameos are a joke. If he did not have the company, who would even consider such a dolt to be used in a film?
He can be Fred while Cr-Egg (your trademark) plays Barney in the new Flintstones movie?

Ale this is an internet forum, it's very hard to show the tone of questions, or what they might imply.
If I thought you were telling lies I'd have called BS.
You yourself in the past have mentioned working as a writer or with writers? I was merely asking what you did, and if it were part of the US or European film / tv industry.
You're not obliged to answer questions, I just thought it would be nice if you were willing to share a little about the industry in which you work.

I'm sorry if you found it personal, it was not my intent.

I do not think BJMDDS was trying to stir the xxxx at all. He's a Bondian guy by attitude so he sticks up for friends and he is chivalrous with the ladies. He was merely supporting me, it's my fault if he said anything at all as I was the one to complain about the original post. Since that's been clarified, surely BJMDDS is not at fault for anything, he's just been nice and supportive. So I'd say we should all move past that and not start a new fight, right? LOL I feel like mommy in the playground. Except I don't know some of the kids well yet
Cr-egg would make an excellent Renfield in a Dracula remake. He is just PERFECT to play a lunatic in an asylum.
OMG! Brilliance. This just reminded me of an Alias episode, with a famous actor playing the part of the lunatic in the asylum. I swear Craig would have been perfect for that part, too. And I mean it seriously, that part would have been great for him. That was someone who was brainwashed into becoming a killer, and who then had memory slowly recovering. The bad guys closed him up in an asylum and Sydney (the protagonist) had to go there as he was part of a much bigger plot. I swear Craig would have done great there. That episode was so creepy at points and so d**n dark... I still have the chills thinking about it. A super fine Alias episode, just too dark and serious compared to average. Must be why I see Craig fit for it, recurring theme

FBF, the Green Hornet looks like pure trash. The tv episodes from the 1960s were even better. The Green Lantern looks quite appetizing as it develops even with Reynolds splitting from his wife. Harry Potter, the final finale(or is it?), will compete with the Lantern next summer but I think we all know which will win out at the box office.

My money's all on Potter, and I plan to see it 10 times or even more. 7 reasons: 1) Harry Potter is finishing his time saving the world in the big screen; 2) the last one deserves to hit big mark and strike over $1 billion; 3) I don't want see myself in the situation where someone who is a newbie or never reads the book see the movie more than me; 4) 2011 is a 10 year anniversary of the franchise and should be treated as a celebration; 5) being the last installment, it deserves to go TDK and stay at the top spot at the US box office for 3 weeks or more as well as becoming the top grosser of 2011; 6) DH2 deserves to be superior to every past and future Twilight films, especially at the US box office; 7) and last but not least, to make DC's Bond movie and DC's Bond himself look like a piece of GARBAGE that should be thrown in the Lake of Fire.

Besides seeing DH2 multiple times, I'll be spending on the HP merchandises also, ranging from DVD/Blu-Ray to a wand. So far, the merchandises I have are HP 1 DVD (which my uncle bought for me and my brother in summer of 2002), HP 3 DVD (which was given to me and my brother by my older cousin for Christmas in 2004), and HP 7 novel (which I bought it myself 3 years ago).

And oh yeah, Transformers will be finishing its time this summer in the big screen, and it will release 2 weeks before Potter. Car 2 will be there as well, and it will release in June around the same time as Green Lantern. Capt America will release a week after Potter's, and Cowboys & Aliens will be a week after that.

Out of these movies, I will see Cars 2 and hopefully GL when they're out. I will see Transformers also. For Capt. America, I have a choice either to see this or watch Potter again. If I have to choose either of the two, I choose Potter since the last one is a goodbye to the franchises and it deserves to hold the year's best attendance from moviegoers. As for Cowboys & Aliens, I'm just going to wait for DVD rental or something. And I hope nothing stands in my way of seeing DH2 more than 3 or 4 times.

And BJ.....I assume you know why I have Mr. Potter as my avatar, and I hope YOU will see it more than 4 times. And the same goes to you, Doc.

I went to the hairdresser's in the late afternoon today and by 7 pm it was freaking minus 5 Celsius with wind chills that made it feel like minus 10. WINTER SUCKS. I am so much of a summer person, I freaking hate this weather. And for those who think it doesn't get cold in Italy, think again. Only in the deep south it doesn't get all that cold, and even so they've got 8 to 14 Celsius temperatures from Naples to Palermo. They certainly aren't warm weather temperatures.

Time for an espresso with whipped cream and some 007 (which means TND and TWINE tonight).

I will for sure go see the Green Lantern. A)Ryan Reynolds is always a good sight and B)I like Blake Lively and yes I DO watch Gossip Girl (Actually I know some of the producers now so that also makes it, how can I say... a friend business).

Now I want apple cider, too! d**n. Low 30s is cold, anything less than 18 celsius outside is cold for me. Sigh, I should move to the Caribbean.

Sweeney, sorry I had missed your post. Merry Christmas to you too. And of course may 2011 bring you happiness and joy (except in the Craig/Bond sense, I take it you're a Craig fan so our desires very much differ there )

Right back at you BJ!!! :yay: :yay: :yay:

I will be having a very nice (and home made) dinner with friends here at home tomorrow, so may be able to pop in right after midnight for the wishes!

All I want for 2011 is... prosperity and success with work, AND HENRY CAVILL AS THE NEW BOND! NewYears

Sorry I know I am redundant with this. Well, a new Bond that looks like him and that anyway LOOKS LIKE JAMES BOND. That's not too much to ask, but apparently Babs has made it impossible! :cuss:

That said really, may the New Year bring all of the people here health, prosperity and everything else they wish for (Except anything regarding Craig going on as Bond )

Cavill will be the next Bond if they do not grab Jackman right away. Cubby would have let Pierce do another Bond film then switch to Jackman. Jackman was the perfect choice for Bond and look what Eon chose?

I agree.
You may now get back up off the floor. As much as I like Craig as Bond, Pierce had another film in him. And surely deserved a better swan song than DAD.
Jackman would've made a perfect Bond, but he's too expensive for EON.
The reason the likes of Mel Gibson and Jackman not getting the Bond gig is because they're too well known in other franchises, and too expensive.
Though Cavill still has a chance of winning the role. And would be the perfect age for a lengthy run.
Connery was 32 when he appeared in DN, so Cavill could take over at the perfect age.
