Ok seriously, you must warn me before you post, for two reasons. Reason no.1 is that I'm laughing like a lunatic in front of the computer after reading the above.

People will think I'm crazy. Except everyone's asleep here and I am risking waking up the whole house given how hard I'm laughing

You are hilariously brilliant! LOL "Not enough oil of Olay in the world to save him mate" is going to be my catchphrase from now on.
And reason number two:
If this were a clip of the CR poster I don't think there we would have a loyal fan base uniting to preserve Bond and protest Craig's action movies using the Bond brand.

Oddly we all seem to agree on young Cavill

I think that young man has the Bond look, Attitude (Good Attitude), and Ability to deal with people.
Do you want to give me a heart attack?

Much as I love him (and I reeeally do), I've never seen such a great combination of his Dunhill ad photos (some are pretty old but it does NOT MATTER!). And, I had never seen the photo where he's walking before. I'm gonna have to stop here, inappropriate girl remarks coming up.

Just.. hot d**n, this guy is too hot for words. And it's because he's not just ridiculously attractive, he's manly, sexy and incredibly elegant. And tall and imposing. Yeah, basic James Bond description
I am REALLY glad we all seem to agree on Cavill

He certainly has the look, attitude and ability to deal with people, as you're saying. About that, I was just talking about it earlier with some colleagues (work) and with a couple of people on forums, and he really gets SO much praise from people who have worked with him, it's incredible. Not ONE single bad comment about him. People go on and on about how not only talented, but genuinely nice he is. The producer and creator of "The Tudors", Michael Hirst, said (I'm quoting more or less verbatim, and there's a youtube video where he says so) "Henry Cavill is going to be a great film star. I don't think there's any doubt about that. Henry is very beautiful. My daughters are all desperate to marry him!" (haha that last remark, hilarious. Someone commented on it under the video with a "YOU DON'T SAY!" that made me laugh so hard

). The director of Cold Light of Day has had very kind words for him, too, about how talented and gracious he is. And how he will prove his value as a leading man (given he is the lead of the movie). One of the writers from "Immortals", which will be released on 11-11-11 (I guess Cold Light of Day will be released earlier, but it's still scheduled to be released towards the end of the year), said this (which was also quoted on IMDB, but never mind, I know for a fact the guy who posted it is one of the writers)
"Henry is going to be HUGE after Immortals. That film will really cement him as a leading man in American films. And it couldn't happen to a nicer guy. Granted he's a great actor but it is nice to see a good guy come out on top as well. When production of Immortals reached the half way point Henry threw a party for the cast and crew, which he paid for. What a class act. Upwards and onwards Henry.
And don't change, there are some good guy leading men out there, ala Tom Hanks, George Clooney. Hope you continue down that route."
There was another comment posting about how polite and classy he was in another occasion, too. But anyhow. I have heard other comments on him, and really, he clearly has the leading man quality. As in big-time leading man. I think the franchise could greatly benefit from having him because of how well-spoken he can be in interviews and how he basically charms everyone. He's like George Clooney, he's got that natural quality and ability to communicate and deal with people. And let's not even get into the marketing angle. Seen many DC Omega ads? Didn't think so. But they would be ALL over Cavill, and not just them. Many others, too. Not to mention the younger women demographic (18 to 34), the biggest-spending demographic that everyone aims at in TV and cinema. Clearly he would bring them in, so Bond would probably also have access to new and enlarged fanbase.
To top it off, about the consciousness he would have of the Bond role, and why he could bring more to it, just look at the last couple of minutes of this interview. He is in Tudors costume, beware. But what he says about his inclinations is interesting and he's smart and well-spoken... just a natural gentleman. And it's a video from 3 years ago, so yeah people will complain he looks too young, etc

Yeah, yeah, I don't think he does. Have a quick glimpse at comments under the video and you'll get an idea about the effect he has on women

My Henry Cavill marketing moment for today shall end here. Sorry if I bored you. I just think when there's such a bloody perfect guy for the role, it would be criminal to overlook him.
