If this movie wants to get the audience's attention, better to have it release in August than late July. And the same goes to Captain America. Why? Harry Potter's time saving the world is coming to end, and the last movie deserves to be on the top spot at the box office for 3 weeks.
I doubt Universal or Marvel/Paramount care about that. They'd rather have the kudos from knocking Harry off the top spot.

Apparently CR has been selling for $5 at Target..I would think QOS would be too.

The special edition was released in March in the States, though I didn't see it on Amazon UK. Am I correct in thinking that QOS hasn't even been shown on network TV yet? It doesn't seem that long since CR's premiere. No offence to The Longest Day, it's a fine film, but it's also nearly half a century old, and therefore exactly the sort of film you'd expect to see in the bargain bins. A 2-year-old film should still be selling at or near full price.

Barbara Broccoli obviously hates the old Bond series and sees herself as some great artist: but she still has to call her awful Craig spy films "Bond 22" etc - a continuation of the Cubby series - and use the 007 logo because people will always want to see a Bond film.
Don't you know people only go to see Danny boy and she just uses that name because well she can't come up with a better one? Absolute truth... people go see Bond, and even stupid Babs is forced to admit that.
I won't accept QOS for free.
LMAO. Same here

And, the fact it is in the 2 pounds special offer bin is just ridiculous for such a new movie. Shows how poor the DVD sales for it are.

I'm sure CR would have done well whoever played Bond. All those world's best dressed man awards were already in the bank waiting for whoever the new 007 was!

For sure, since given how they dressed him and how he looked in it in CR, no sane fashion person would have knowingly handed that award to Craig.

The scary thing is, according to these magazines, DC is one of the great fashion icons of our times. He must be one of the worst dressed celebrities in the world.

I'm not sure they could have got away with that one. I saw a bit of a 2003 film he was in the other night on television and he looked like he'd eaten a house.

Stay assured NO Italian OR French magazine ever awarded him with ANY style prize. Let alone ever called him a fashion icon. That's for those who know nothing about fashion LOL

And GODDAMN he looks TRAGICALLY BAD in those photos. HE looks like he's way past 60!

And yea Katie, what shall we say about the porn 'stache? Also, he is dressed like a chav.(for non Britons, ask a Briton LOL. Ah, the advantage of living in both language worlds...)

EDIT: Some pretty must be added here. Of the good James Bond kind.

A heart icon is missing here. LOL. Ah, Henry...
