I doubt Universal or Marvel/Paramount care about that. They'd rather have the kudos from knocking Harry off the top spot.FormerBondFan wrote:When I saw Cowboy & Aliens trailer on my 2nd viewing of DH1, all it said for the release date is summer 2011. If this movie wants to get the audience's attention, better to have it release in August than late July. And the same goes to Captain America. Why? Harry Potter's time saving the world is coming to end, and the last movie deserves to be on the top spot at the box office for 3 weeks.

Apparently CR has been selling for $5 at Target..I would think QOS would be too.Kristatos wrote:Just saw QOS in the £3 bargain bin at my local Morrisons supermarket, along with a load of much older films that I saw on TV when I was a kid. Things like The Longest Day and Tora! Tora! Tora!
Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
The special edition was released in March in the States, though I didn't see it on Amazon UK. Am I correct in thinking that QOS hasn't even been shown on network TV yet? It doesn't seem that long since CR's premiere. No offence to The Longest Day, it's a fine film, but it's also nearly half a century old, and therefore exactly the sort of film you'd expect to see in the bargain bins. A 2-year-old film should still be selling at or near full price.Thunderpussy wrote:When I first Watched QOS it Certinly Seemed Like "The Longest Day". I wonder how the sales will be for the special edition version,Or is that the reason It still hasn't been released, PI** Poor Sales.

Don't you know people only go to see Danny boy and she just uses that name because well she can't come up with a better one?carl stromberg wrote:Barbara Broccoli obviously hates the old Bond series and sees herself as some great artist: but she still has to call her awful Craig spy films "Bond 22" etc - a continuation of the Cubby series - and use the 007 logo because people will always want to see a Bond film.ale wrote
]When I hear people going on about the returns of CR and QoS it drives me absolutely insane. People DID NOT GO SEE CR FOR DANIEL CRAIG. THEY WENT BECAUSE IT WAS THE NEW BOND MOVIE.

LMAO. Same hereI won't accept QOS for free.

And, the fact it is in the 2 pounds special offer bin is just ridiculous for such a new movie.

I'm sure CR would have done well whoever played Bond. All those world's best dressed man awards were already in the bank waiting for whoever the new 007 was!

For sure, since given how they dressed him and how he looked in it in CR, no sane fashion person would have knowingly handed that award to Craig.James wrote:I'm sure CR would have done well whoever played Bond. The scary thing is, according to these magazines, DC is one of the great fashion icons of our times. He must be one of the worst dressed celebrities in the world.Ale wrote:For sure, since given how they dressed him and how he looked in it in CR, no sane fashion person would have knowingly handed that award to Craig.James wrote:I'm sure CR would have done well whoever played Bond. I'm not sure they could have got away with that one. I saw a bit of a 2003 film he was in the other night on television and he looked like he'd eaten a house.FormerBondFan wrote:And what would happen if Fat Seagal played Bond?James wrote:I'm sure CR would have done well whoever played Bond.

Stay assured NO Italian OR French magazine ever awarded him with ANY style prize. Let alone ever called him a fashion icon. That's for those who know nothing about fashion LOLJames wrote:The scary thing is, according to these magazines, DC is one of the great fashion icons of our times. And GODDAMN he looks TRAGICALLY BAD in those photos. HE looks like he's way past 60!
And yea Katie, what shall we say about the porn 'stache?

EDIT: Some pretty must be added here. Of the good James Bond kind.

A heart icon is missing here. LOL. Ah, Henry...
