1954 Casino Royale

Finally watched it. For what it was and its time, not bad. It doesn't capture the Bond flavor for me, though.

Great summary of Baccarat, though.

Better the'54 Casino Royale than the '67 one(almost as campy as some of the Moore films!)

I must watch this one day. It's such a shame that the camp 1960's Casino Royale was made - a real Bond film could have been made.

You could say the same thing about the Daniel Craig version.

Eh. I liked CR. A bit slow on the romance part, but re-watchable.

I NEVER want to see QoS again. Worse than the worst parts of Moore, Brosnan and Dalton combined. Almost as bad as CR67. Worse, because it wasn't supposed to be a spoof.

QOS was like watching the rushes of an unfinished film. I can't believe there are still a few fanboys out there trying to prop it up.

The 1967 Casino Royale had a bigger budget than Thunderball and You Only Live Twice. What a waste.

In my heart I would be relieved if Craig were to step down tomorrow. CR was a brilliant piece of film making too bad they made no plans for the sequel. Craig's reboot has gone too far off the rails to I think successfully recover the balance struck in CR. If Craig were to leave tomorrow it means 2013 beings a new young Bond and fresh start.
