Worst/Daftest Moments of the Craig Era
Off the top of my head, the bit where he enters that (tennis?) club in Casino Royale and some (planted) women stop and stare as if he's the most handsome man that ever walked the earth. Then, some bloke tosses him his car keys as if he's an 18-year-old valet!

I've mentioned this several times but:Bond throwing Mathis into the dumpster.

When he asks for a martini and doesn't "give a d**n" whether it's shaken or stirred. That one sure caught me off guard.

All the bits where Craig forgets that he is playing Bond and not Popeye after a can of spinach (crashing through walls, tearing handles off doors, falling thousands of feet without a parachute that opens in time etc.)

When I was channel surfing and came upon CR recently,I was reminded of how reminiscent the crashing into the walls and whatnot is of Super Mario.

Knocking out 3 MI6 colleagues in a lift? Bourne time it sounds like. I don't think before Bond every attacked his fellow agents unless they were traitors. I can't remember if it was that way in the books. most of the time he was on his own working maybe with local help that could be trusted and guy at the embassy maybe but not his fellow agents

Re: Worst/Daftest Moments of the Craig Era
The only time I can think of is at the start of TMWTGG, when he was brainwashed into attacking M. But Bourne was betrayed by his own government, so Bond had to be too. It's the law, apparently.Dr. No wrote:Knocking out 3 MI6 colleagues in a lift? Bourne time it sounds like. I don't think before Bond every attacked his fellow agents unless they were traitors. He's been brainwashed before? Do people not realize that'? Doesn't mean people don't keep suggesting it. That and bringing Blofeld back(luckily, most people go along with a sort of "not Blofeld"-sans the volcano hide out and bald head. There are a few holdouts for the old school Dr. Evil Blofeld though.)

I just watched CR, and have to say even though I'm a Craig fan, that he doesn't wobble the drink.007 wrote:Drink wobbling in front of the mirror.
I'd go as far as to say it's one of the most Bondesque scenes in the movie. This is Bond.
I know this site is not going to agree with that, but here we have a government assassin. He's just killed a man in cold blood. That has an effect on anyone, unless you're a physcopath. The whole scene, cleaning his wounds, washing the blood from his hands, having a few stiff drinks and then composing himself to what he does for a job, what he has to do for his country. It's a great scene in my mind. But obviosuly dcinb wont agree. C'est la vie.
Re: Worst/Daftest Moments of the Craig Era
Lately the Pro Craigs and Anti Craigs(more or less) agreed to disagree.
CR hasn't aged that well;however the scene with Bond cleaning up is an effecting one.

that scene never did impress me as I remember it they were jumped becuase of a earwig wasn't as much cold blooded murder as killing to stay alive. I thought the histrionics that was suppsoed have be were overblown, later she crying over what? He is starting at what? Not the Bond of Dr No.

Re: Worst/Daftest Moments of the Craig Era
The problem is, he killed about 500 people at the start of the film and jumped off a crane like Daredevil. Then he's all jittery after fighting some bloke on the stairs? To be honest, I can't take anything Craig does seriously in his films because he looks more like Derek Deadman than James Bond.Captain Nash wrote:I just watched CR, and have to say even though I'm a Craig fan, that he doesn't wobble the drink.007 wrote:Drink wobbling in front of the mirror.

I found it hilarious when Craig wobbled his drink. I also found it hilarious when I read that James thinks Craig looks like Derek Deadman - he does!James wrote:The problem is, he killed about 500 people at the start of the film and jumped off a crane like Daredevil.
