Not sure about that. Doctor Who is only a TV series, albeit a top-rated one. Like, say, Remington Steele or The Saint.

it just dawned on me, I'd like to see Michael Ironside play a Bond villian. perhaps a rogue US agent who sell Bond out to the highest bidder.

Frank Sinatra was supposed to play Drax in Moonraker but they couldn't come to terms apparently.

I thought it was James Mason they wanted.

He's quite good in Total Recall as a villain and he's a good actor.

I quite like Paul Blackthorne as a potential villian. He played Stephen Saunders in 24 season 3 and has a good look about him. Come to think of it he has a Bond look about him.

I'll agree with you on that one Doc. But after playing the villain in Batman Begins and now it seems in every role he plays , would he want to be type cast by playing a Bond villain I wonder?

I was reminded of Jeremy Irons in another thread and thought he would be a great bond villain

Not a bad choice there Doc, Jeremy Irons plays villianous roles so well.
My only worry would be people compared him to his bad guy role in Die Hard with a vengance.
But still he could play a bad guy role, maybe part of the mysterious organistion that Mr.White is asscoitated?

And he does look good in a suit. He is without a doubt the best-dressed Doctor of them all.
He did look the part sporting a tuxedo in "The Lazarus Experiment".
