Updated a few of news stories this evening, I vetoed including the story about Jeremy Clarkson & Gordon Ramsay winning a dubious made up award, placing better than Craig according to Housewives surveyed in a 'UK Manhood poll'.

I wasn't really paying attention back then so I wouldn't have cared and still wouldn't because if that had happened it's a Seagal movie series.FormerBondFan wrote:
How would you react if Seagal replaced Brosnan as Bond after DAD?

Bond 23: "Property of a Lady"? PTS involves an auction? Wiesz the head of Quantum? M killed? The swine flu and genetic engineering involved ? How does this all sound? Interested if true?

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
Ugh. I don't like any of it.Better to have Dame Judi quit at the end of Bond than to kill her off. Wanting to kill her off is such a fanboy thing. The swine flu plot line is EON trying to be "ripped from the headlines"...and failing.bjmdds wrote:Bond 23: "Property of a Lady"? PTS involves an auction? Wiesz the head of Quantum? M killed? Well if you believe a couple of posters over at CB.n, you'll find out that all of those stories are an elaborate hoax created by them.bjmdds wrote:Bond 23: "Property of a Lady"? Though if you just want to discuss it anyway, and take the whole thing with a pinch of salt, like many forumers do, then let's continue.

Bond 23 : The Property Of A Lady. Well it's one of the very few Fleming titles left that they could use now. Aside from Risico or The Hildebrand Rarity. Apart from having a brief mention in OP, it's not the worst idea.
The PTS involves an auction. Well if it follows the source novel, then yes. Again though this was used in OP, so I can't see why EON would want to duplicate such a scene.
Rachel Weisz is the head of Quantum. Personally I'm sat on the fence for this one. I don't really mind. There's no reason why she couldn't be. She's also a good actress, so if she were involved then it'd be the

M is killed. I'm going to agree with katie here, she shouldn't be killed off. Just retire her. Her character has become something of a muddle of late. Bring in a new male M at the end of Bond 23.

The swine flu and genetic engineering storyline. It was used successfully in OHMSS, and it is a very real threat. It certainly would be more plausible and menacing than the Bolivian water supply. At least the villains plot is not to buy the electric company...and a few hotels.

As I said, it's far to early to actually believe any of this. I put it down to things to speculate and discuss without basing any truth in it.
Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
Title-wise, my vote is for Risico. It's grown on me over time.

2011 brings 3 years since the last film. Can you just imagine Lady Gag-Gag singing the title song, Property Of A Lady, grabbing her private parts as a double entendre to the lyrics?

Why these hoaxers do what they do is beyond me. But when a discussion is made relating to the story they get antsy.
I thought I spent to much time on Bond forums, but to goto the extent of making up stories...get a life.
Bj, we don't see eye to eye on many things, but I will agree with you on the lady/man gaga situation.
Just say NO, Eon.

It's not a name grabber, so I doubt Eon would use it, but then again, they used DC, so who knows?katied wrote:Title-wise, my vote is for Risico. It's grown on me over time.

Money Never Sleeps now pushed back again to September 24, first from February, then April 23. What gives? Another Invasion type mess?

The impression I get is that it is to expose the gullibility of the tabloids in printing any old crap without bothering to verify whether it is true or not.Captain Nash wrote: Why these hoaxers do what they do is beyond me.

Eon has enabled this wild tabloid exploitation by their own lethargic attitude. I will give them half credit for publicly saying production is stalled because of MGM, they could easily take control of this situation but they are not going to.

Exactly. EON's lack of action is not surprising. It encourages speculation from fans with nothing better to do. Luckily, most Bond fans seem to get that Spynovelfan is full of crap(though he does still have his admirers.Eon has enabled this wild tabloid exploitation by their own lethargic attitude. It not just Spyfan or others fanboys. Tabloids in general have a history of playing dangerously loose with fact checking Bond stories for over 10 years now. Bond 20 rumors (a fake script was widely reported as leaked), bond 21 rumors (easier to say what wasn't reported wrong), Bond 22 rumors (different story and similar casting rumors), now we get to the bond 23 rumors where their lack of fidelity is fully exposed.

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
True about the tabs..Though Spynovelfan sure doesn't help the situation with his B.S..... which promptly gets gobbled up by the tabloids who, as you said, don't do their due dilligence to find out if it's true or not.Mazer Rackham wrote:It not just Spyfan or others fanboys. Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
Bond 23 seems to be on ice.
]Not surprisingly, the producers of the James Bond franchise have put the brakes on developing and producing the next installment of the 007 spy series because of the ongoing drama plaguing the franchise's home studio, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Inc.
"Due to the continuing uncertainty surrounding the future of MGM and the failure to close a sale of the studio, we have suspended development of 'Bond 23' indefinitely," producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli of Eon Productions said in a prepared statement. "We do not know when development will resume and do not have a date for the release of 'Bond 23,' " which is the sequel to "Quantum of Solace," released by MGM's co-financing partner Sony Pictures in 2008.
The sequel was previously scheduled for release in late 2011 or in 2012 to coincide with the franchise's 50th anniversary. Director Sam Mendes had been helping develop the script with an eye toward potentially directing the movie. A production start date had not been set.
MGM had no official comment on the development. But a person close to the studio, who wasn't authorized to talk about it on the record, said, "It was not unexpected given all the uncertainty and the ongoing process." Broccoli and Wilson, who took over the Bond franchise in 1995 from Albert "Cubby" Broccoli, Broccoli's father and Wilson's stepfather, could not be reached for comment.
