I agree. Who cares about a 2005 press conference? Timothy Dalton was uncomfortable at public events too and I loved his Bond.

I don't know. Insurance may have wanted whoever was on the boat to wear it, but you can't mistake the look of fear Craig haskatied wrote:Believe me..Hugh would have been wearing that vest-no matter how big of a fashion violation it was!

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
I am not obsessed with Jackman. He is the BEST choice right now IMHO to play Bond and it is a travesty he is not in the role, especially after hob-nobbing with Broccoli on Broadway. Jackman might have convinced Eon that wearing a life preserver being introduced as Bond would be lame and maybe, just maybe, they would have listened to him. NO way Jackman would have looked as spooked and as rattled as CR-egg did and he definitely would have shined in the press conference. Why Sweeney asks? Because he has stage presence and charm and charisma, unlike the inane drone you have become obsessed with. You thought CR-egg had no equals as Bond after CR, correct? The Sweeney wrote:Please tell BJ that....katied wrote:Believe me..Hugh would have been wearing that vest-no matter how big of a fashion violation it was!

One hand on the bar to steady himself, the other casually on his leg.
Some of the folk here are desperately clutching at straws again in a weak bid to claim Craig is unsuitable to play Bond, based on his entrance to a press conference in 2005.
It's okay that you don't like him as Bond, but this is pathetic.
At least most of the members who've posted do see the weakness in the clown prince of the anti-Craigs antics for this one.
Credit to you.

That's a long way from "no way would you have seen Jackman in one of those things". In reality, I think Jackman would have done as he was told, as would any other actor.bjmdds wrote:Jackman might have convinced Eon that wearing a life preserver being introduced as Bond would be lame and maybe, just maybe, they would have listened to him.

BJ, you are starting to get outnumbered with your opinions on Jackman on here....

BJ, you have gone all bizarre again with forum members here.bjmdds wrote: unlike the inane drone you have become obsessed with.
Obsessed? Nope, I am not obsessed with Craig at all. If that was the case, I would love QoS, but I don't.
I would also love every Craig film outside of Bond, but I don't. You have read me wrong.
I'd go as far as saying I'm about as obsessed with Craig as you are with Jackman....

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
Well, sort of. I do agree with BJ that Jackman would have made a better Bond than Craig, but that's as far as it goes. I'm not holding my breath waiting for him to be given the role. I think Cavill will be the next Bond, or someone who's not on the radar yet.The Sweeney wrote:

Cavill would be fine, in a few years. For now, Jackman would be better, given the two choices.

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
I'm starting to come around to the idea of Cavill as the next Bond. It would be a few more years, but worth the wait.

I never conform to other opinions Sweenster. As for the 'clown prince' crack by your MI6 co-hort here, he need look no further than his own bathroom mirror to define his statement. The Sweeney wrote:Thanks Kris. Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
Bizzare? I am 100% true to my convictions. You are the one who has soured a bit on CR after lauding it. I always saw it for the pile of trash it was. Mendes directing CR-egg is another artistic attempt by Eon to gain respect in Hollywood. It will fail, and either Jackman or Cavill(I now doubt Worthington will be asked and Butler would be hideous as well) will restore this franchise to it's proper state of being. The Sweeney wrote:BJ, you have gone all bizarre again with forum members here.bjmdds wrote: unlike the inane drone you have become obsessed with.

Me too. I don't know that Avatar alone is enough to make him a star, but if Clash of the Titans is a blockbuster hit, I think it will make him into that "name bigger than James Bond" that Cubby always said he didn't want on the screen. One blockbuster only makes him Mark Hamill, but a second will make him Harrison Ford.bjmdds wrote:I now doubt Worthington will be asked

A second blockbuster in another movie series. Ford was Solo until he was Indian Jones breaking him in to the big time and Hamill was Luke Skywalker for 3 movies and then a guest of talk shows fan conventions and then a cast member commentary on the DVD.Kristatos wrote:Me too. Eh, even with CGI Clash of The Titans looks cheesy(makes me want to watch the original which wasn't much better).
