Jesper Christensen will not be reprising his role as the villainous Mr White of the Quantum organization in the next James Bond film, the 23rd in the series. Not just because his character is unlikely to feature in the story, but also because the Danish actor lashed out at the predictability and quality of the two films he appeared in opposite Daniel Craig.

Speaking to press ahead of Friday's premiere of his new film "The Family" at the Berlin film festival, Christensen said that he is happy that his "interlude as a villain in the James Bond series is over."

Explaining his position, Christensen said: "Today, I admit that I regard [Casino Royale] and [Quantum of Solace] as really ****. All the people die in them, so two movies are enough for me."

His reasons also extend to his personal goal of maintaining two career tracks, one in Danish film and the other in foreign films, mostly English-language. "After such a role, I typically like to wait a year before there comes the perfect offer for a Danish film. I say no to a great deal of offers, because I want to avoid force feeding audiences with Jesper Christensen."

Bj he's bagging the Bond series. Not Daniel Craig.
The fact of the matter is, is he was a minor character who had a nice role. If he's not coming back then it's not going to ruin the series, or make me wish he did. He's just moving on.
Any future Bond film is not going to be a loss without Mr.White, continuity is something the Bond series has never kept a close eye on. Re-cast...re-write. It'd be easy to explain his disappearance from any future Quantum plot.

I agree they pulled the quantum organization out of their ass last minute. But this guy is an ungrateful SOB. No style whatsoever.

He had maybe 8 minutes of screen time 3 of that crammed in the trunk of a sports car. He must be one of those true actor types who see making movies as beneath him.

When he calls the movies s**t is he despicable and when he backpedals, I don't see how we can't take this as some furious backpedaling, he is a upstanding citizen whose word must not be questioned.

I think he made a off hand comment that he thought wouldn't leave the smaller venue. When it made the rounds he backed-up big time.
