One or two here were predicting this. We shall see what happens next. The next installment of "Bond" series might be hitting theaters
a bit behind schedule. It has recently been reported that Daniel Craig, the actor who has been portraying James Bond in the last two installment of the super spy series, has delayed the shooting of "Bond 23" to focus on another silver screen project.
According to WENN, the delay is a result of the work commitment the 41-year-old English actor has on the filming of "Dream House". The situation reportedly has forced "Bond" producers to push back production although "Revolutionary Road" director Sam Mendes has signed on to direct.
"The producers have been working on the script for two years and hired Sam Mendes as the director," a source told Britain's Mail On Sunday about the status of the follow-up to "Quantum of Solace". The insider added, "They're not even close to starting filming yet."
Daniel Craig will once again reprise his role as James Bond in "Bond 23", which eyes 2011 U.S. release. Back in late 2009, the "Defiance" actor suggested that the production of the next "Bond" movie may begin at the end of 2010. He broke out about the possible starting time when signing autographs for fans after his Broadway play "A Steady Rain".

Re: Daniel Craig Delays 'Bond 23' for Other Project
If Dream House is causing these problems what is his cowboy movie going to do? Maybe we should be thinking of a 2012 production, as a few have said.
Sam Mendes recently signed on to direct the as-yet-untitled 007 outing, but Craig's commitment to shooting Dream House in Florida has reportedly forced producers to push back production on the next Bond film.
A source tells Britain's Mail On Sunday, "The producers have been working on the script for nearly two years and hired Sam Mendes as the director. They're not even close to starting filming yet."
Michael G. Wilson revealed back in January that producion on the movie may not go ahead on schedule because of the sale of MGM.
Another quotes the bond producer as saying: "Our timeline's a little up in the air what with the situation at MGM, so we have to be flexible."
"We just don't know enough about the situation to comment, but we know it's uncertain."

I thought autumn 2011 was the release date for Bond 23 all along? They are not going to release it this year.
I do hope he walks away from the role as he has nothing more to offer as Bond.

Last I head was January 2011 the the goal for starting production. Don't get how this movie is delaying Bond 23? Could Craig have reworked his schedule screwing the January production?Gary Seven wrote:I thought autumn 2011 was the release date for Bond 23 all along? They are not going to release it this year.

More likely MGM's financial woes already screwed it, freeing up DC's diary for other things.Omega wrote:Last I heard was January 2011 the the goal for starting production. Don't get how this movie is delaying Bond 23? Could Craig have reworked his schedule screwing the January production?

But he's only un-popular to a very small group of Bond fans.Gary Seven wrote:I thought autumn 2011 was the release date for Bond 23 all along? They are not going to release it this year.

To many he's a great Bond, and still has plenty more to offer. At least two more films...maybe three.
After it's time in the sun with the pre-release of CR, and dcinb making headlines in newspapers, the world has forgotten about the anti-Craig Bond fans now, and have moved on.
You'll have a hard time convincing them otherwise now.

Re: Daniel Craig Delays 'Bond 23' for Other Project
Here is how another source put it.
What is going on is Bond is on hiatus and Craig is trying to find work. Some eager bunny found the clashing scheduling and decided to write about it. No doubt Babs would put anything on hold for her boy toy. But this is another problem altogether.According to sources, the reason behind the delays is that Daniel Craig, has signed on to the filming of “Dream House” which resulted in the 41-year-old English actor forcing the “Bond” producers to push back production, until a more suitable time for the actor.
“The producers have been working on the script for two years and hired Sam Mendes as the director,” a source told Britain’s Mail On Sunday. The insider added, Even though the actor said in late 2009, that the the production of the next “Bond” movie may begin at the end of 2010, the source adds to Britain’s Mail that “They`re not even close to starting filming yet.”
Whether or not this will have an influence on the expected 2011 release date is still unknown

Fact is vast the majority of moving going public polled do not buy him as Bond. Not to say they hate him or otherwise harbor animosity towards him. He has actually done better job showing his inadequacies in the Bond movies than 10 DCinBs could do.
Still hope springs eternal for our boy Benny, he fervently hopes the withering Craig will stay well past his prime which expired along ago, when craig was in his early thirties. Thing is all Bond is to Craig is a pay check and beyond that it is a burden to him to bother with. He'll be lucky to finish his third and be gone after that. He is not interested in the series and any more harsh critical reviews he'll bail out like his ass is on fire.
