Interesting to hear that Martin Campbell, didn't think much to QOS.........his words were
'that they completely lost their way' with that film.

Well if Sam Mendes does make Bond 23 in the next year or two, then it had better be good,
as even Craig (cheers from DCINb's :-) may give up and leave the franchise.

Have seen 'Avatar'.........thought it was a good film, but obviously the great attraction was the novelty of
the new 3D technology.
Its possible that a Bond film sometime this decade could be made in 3D, but not sure if that would benefit
the series.

What the hell! Slagging off on the Mods! This isn't your personal fiefdom..... The crew here does a nice job, all of the mods are stand up guys, esp Carl.

I got one gentle slap on the wrist when I first got here, admittedly it was deserved. But as a whole the members here are rather polite with one another despite what could be considered a major disagreement.

Extremely bad form to spit in the eye of your host.

Thanks Mazer. More people need to support Carl on this one.

Hi EA!
Quark's fall from grace is amazing. Campbell feeling secure enough to say something suggests to me that Eon is well aware of this sentiment and perhaps it mirrors their own opinion of it too. Danny boy is certainly upset with Quark. They ought to be breathing a huge sigh of relief that Forester didn't take them up on Bond 23

I don't think forcing Bond 23 to go 3D is good idea. Directors now are kind of shrugging their shoulders about it and letting the studios do what they want with the film rather than making a directorial decision if the film should be 3d or not.

QOS was pure trash. You do not hear talk of a positive nature about it at all. Craig's only reason for not being "Daltoned" with this LTK-like reception was the opening weekend gross. Take that away, and Craig would be gone, vs. Dalton's film, which was poorly received opening weekend.

I'm sure its only because of the success of CR that Craig is doing Bond 23.

If QoS had been the first Bond film with Craig, I doubt he would have done another...and probably by his own choice, not EON's.

Going the Roger Moore route isn't always the best choice. If quark had been first Danny would have been laughed out of Hollywood, he still might if they follow it up with more of the same in Bond 23.

about Katied and the mod dispute, I like talking with her and hope they do not ban her at the same time I have to call a foul. In just about every forum all over the world anytime someone gets a ban they blame who banned them and not what they did to get banned. Maybe it wasn't fair, but I consider myself a guest here. I don't pay to post here so they own me nothing. They are allowed to have whoever they want or do not want here as members, luckily they have been magnanimous to all of us letting us play for free in their playground. Still I hope Katied stays, but I am not going to mention it again, I'd rather talk about Bond and so I suspect would she..

I totally agree with you on that one James.
If carl goes, I don't see the point to hanging around katied.com

Funny how you're not the only one who feels that way.
Carl should stick around, what the hell is going on. A troll stays and not only a good mod, but a good poster walks away.
WTF!
:cuss:

Carl you're a good guy mate, and I really do hope you stick around.
Otherwise katied.com is going to consist of not many more than two members.

I *loved* Avatar. Good stuff. And 3D would most definitely not benefit the Bond films.

If Carl is gone, I'm outta here too. Katied can have the forum all to herself then (by the looks of it, she pretty much has already).

I hope the studio has more say(doubtful, though).

This Avatar film is ridiculous in box office numbers. History in the making. I have no real interest in seeing this. Should I bother?

I liked it. It's probably not everyone's cup of tea, though.

Maybe Cameron will do the first Bond film of the 7th 007 if Eon behaves as they normally do, unless he will want too much money and we will get another low paid inexperienced in action films Hollywood wannabe director once again.

A James Cameron Bond film... there's an interesting thought!

Jackman/Cameron/2012 would do far better than the current mindset being developed by Eon.

Sadly, EON has a set idea/ideas when it comes to the Bond films. We'll never get anything that cool.
