If you mean the "climategate" scientists, then yes, what they did was wrong. But it's small beer compared to the deception routinely practiced by the global warming denial industry. See these four specific examples from George Monbiot's blog, though it's best to read this introductory article first.

Check out the produce farmers in Florida in the USA. They are worried their crops will freeze. Electric cars all the way and the hell with Exon, Hess, Shell, Citgo, Mobil, etc. or we can ride horseback again.

If you watch American Idol this year check out Amanda Schectman who is from Roslyn NY and sings Mercy by Duffy. She makes the final 24 to go to Hollywood and my friend's son knows her well from High School. She attends NYU now and will take a leave of absence from school for this. How far will she go?

Hi

I said i'd be back if there was some news on the Bond front........well!!.............Not sure yet what to make of the news on director Sam Mendes as being
a possibility as to directing the next Bond film, but at least its good to know that it appears some work is well underway for Bond 23.

Interestingly, i keep reading that the Bond franchise is director proof!..........well that's rubbish as QOS proved otherwise under the helm with Marc Forster.

I mean a $200+ mil film with virtually no plot, no character development and a brain washing editing technique.

I mean Bond 23 surely can't repeat this error again? or can it?..........The producers still worry me though!!

On the weather front..........it amazes me that the UK almost grinds to a halt when the temperature gets down to around freezing point i.e 0 deg Centigrade
I mean in comparison to many countries our winters are very moderate, particularly in the South of England!!

I'm back in India now...I just missed the snowfall in the UK.....lucky that Heathrow has heated runways, otherwise I'd be stranded like everyone else at the airports. We still had to sit for an hour on the runway while the plane was de-iced though.

With regards the latest Mendes directs rumour, I'm taking it all as a rumour until it is confirmed. I don't know why others aren't doing that too.
If it is him though, I'm disappointed, as I would rather have an action director. EON proved with QoS that getting a drama director and a seperate action director in for a movie doesn't work that well.

Correct again Sweeney. After all, American Beauty mentality for Bond is quite suspect, don't we all agree? Still freezing here.......good for movie theatres though.

I was under the impression that it had been confirmed. I'm not one to jump on every silly season tabloid rumour, as you know, but this seemed pretty official.

Same here. It seems pretty official, so until it gets shot down as a rumor, I'm assuming it's true.

Really? Oh, ok then. To be honest, I'm more concerned about the script than the director anywhere. I hope EON allow Peter Morgan to write something decent, and don't meddle too much afterwards to bring it back into generic action flick territory.

BTW, just seen Harry Brown. Easily the best film of last year.

Hey EA! Happy new year!

Problem with Mendes is Craig wants him. I sincerely hope Eon remembers who wears the pants in their relationship.

The word is Craig is unhappy with how Quark was received and wants to make a mark with what could be his last Bond film. Fair enough, Brozza wanted no less. Also explains why Craig is willing to start from scratch for Bond 23. Remember when Craig says he is in Bond for the "long term" he doesn't mean 10 or 20 years, he means long term for the films being acclaimed. Which Quark isn't.

It is still a rumor. Just a rumor with good sources and a timely release.

When he is signed that will be how it is phrased. Signed not in talkes and their will be a official release to follow it up.

Absolutely. Given that he's written some great movies,he could make the "shocking plot" work and not something Bond fan hate on for years afterwards.

As an aside about the weather..My cousin lives in Dallas and bikes to work(only a few blocks) but his Facebook update today said he was not looking forwards to going to work.Yes,Texas can get get hot, but it also gets cold snaps/frost/snow. Same with the Gulf Coast. They have had snow in New Orleans and in Baton Rouge(about an hour from New Orleans) several times recently. Having been in New Orleans in summer,I can attest to the fact that it gets hot there-which is why it's so surprising(but not unheard of!) for them to get snow.

Here is a more recent rundown that is pretty accurate.

About the fanboy jubilation of June production date, what Craig and Dame Dench said is pretty accurate if things were on track without the MGM woes. Besides Craig and the rest have a schedule of their own which probably is already booked for 2010.

MGM needs a carrot to keep things in line, if they can promise a quick payday based on their half of the Bond franchise they have to assume things might break more their way.
#1 MR. KATE WINSLET MIGHT BE THE NEXT 007 DIRECTOR OR "CONSULTANT" ON JAMES BOND 23

With MGM currently having financial problems and facing a possible sale, all of the studio's projects are in a state of flux, and are proceeding either very carefully or in some cases, not at all. The biggest of them all is definitely James Bond 23, which is controlled by EON Productions and the Broccoli family estate. Because of the situation with MGM, EON is making a cautious move; they're not hiring a director yet (which would move the project into the next stage of finances), but are instead in talks with Sam Mendes (Away We Go, I) to come aboard as a "consultant." That's a sort of wink-wink-nudge-nudge way of saying they want him to be the director, but can't call him that just yet. Sam Mendes is one of the most critically acclaimed directors working today, and he's already worked with Daniel Craig before, on 2002's Road to Perdition. If Mendes does eventually sign on to direct James Bond 23, he will be one of the most high-profile directors to ever direct a Bond movie.

In other news related to MGM's financial woes, another project that is on hold is the planned Robocop reboot. It's also the center of a dispute between MGM (who want a 3D movie with fancy CGI) and director Darren Aronofsky, who (an unsourced claim says) wants to keep "everything as real (organic) as possible, just like The Fountain." In the meantime, Aronofsky is busy filming the psychological thriller Black Swan with Natalie Portman, so if MGM can recover enough to continue on with Robocop, that may also give the studio enough of a reason to move on with a different director. Although fan support for a Robocop reboot from anyone else might not be as strong as it was with Aronofsky fans.

Is this supposed to be good news or bad? It still seems like they are going to hire another "Art House Director" which didn't work very well last time. My roommate said they should just hire the Director of GoldenEye and Casino Royale again, make him an offer so god he has to do it. Otherwise what is the point of just making more halfassed experiments that suck
