Casino Royale...Quantum Of Solace...Bond 23, 24...25.Critical acclaim from his broadway debut, despite nearly all here forseeing a failure for him. Maybe 2010 will be a better year for some of the members of dcinb.
At least untill the end of 2010 anyway. I believe that Bond 23 in which Daniel Craig IS James Bond OO7 doesn't start filming untill the end of next year. I'm sure we'll find some way of passing the time.
You can diss Craig and call him names. I'll do my best to support him, and prove you wrong. I hate being right all the time.
Anywho, hope everyone's ready for Christmas, or at least has a little Christmas cheer going on. Maybe a chance to put on a Christmassy Bond film in OHMSS to get in the spirit?

Hope you and you mates are taking up a collection to fund Bond 23. Right now it is off the burner until MGM is sorted.

Christmassy Bond film? d**nit! You made me think of that godawful Christmas Jones!

Fans in a way do finance them with every ticket bought. But the way it is divide up is convoluted, there is no bank account from the profits being set aside for the next installment. Of the two partners, MGM & Eon, neither has the funds to make the next movie unless Babs takes out a personal loan putting her estate up as collateral.

Bond nerd(n.): someone who will(among other things)spend endless amounts of money on multiple copies of the same DVD and look down upon anyone who doesn't do the same. :?

I really don't get the fandom mentality of "I have more than you/spend more money than you/have been a fan longer than you"(delete as applicable..or not). It's not just Bond fans. I've seen it with bands I like, too.

Wow. This thread has devolved into

BJ: "I bet that Craig's career will crash and burn"
Katied: "LOL! Yeah, he's really doing no favors!   "
BJ: "You're right Katied!   "
Nash: "Oh look. That broadway show is a big hit, and Craig is getting good reviews."
BJ: "Not really, it's only a hit because of Jackman. Craig should be lucky that Jackman is around."
Katied: "Yeah, otherwise everyone would be walking out! LOL!   I hate MI6forums.
BJ: "Spot on Katied."
Katied: "Maybe Craig play supporting parts on bigger films"
BJ: "NO WAY, all he'll do is drive everyone away because nobody likes him"
Katied: "Wow, you're so right. Whatever he does ends up failing!   "
BJ: "   Once again our MP is on the mark!"
Mazer Rackham: "Hey guys, MGM is in real trouble, Craig might never get a third film"
BJ: "At last! Now we can get Hugh Jackman in the role!   "
katied: "I like QOS."
BJ: "WHAT!?! :( :( "
Katied: "I hate QOS."
BJ: "You see the light MP :D "
katied: "If there's one thing I hate it's fanboys."
Nash: "LOL, Craig's gonna be great in Bond 23 folks, just wait and see  ."
BJ: "NO! IT'S NOT HAPPENING!"
Katied: "Yeah, honestly.     "
BJ: "He's more likely to play the janitor in the next flick. Better yet not be involved at all! "
Katied: LOL I KNOW! When will EON learn?   "

And I'm gone.

The whole problem with fanboys is,well, their fanboyish behavior

Going back to the spending more money than someone else thing for a moment:I am surprised I haven't seen someone with a sign that says "will work for food/college tution(because quite a few Bond nerds are in college) and Bond tchotchkes".

Aren't you in a right mood.

When I see the pablum regurgitation of talking points I actually try to make you answer the damned question of how?
How can we take Craig and Dench seriously when they say filming in 2011, when there currently is no financial backer.

Will the new partner, whoever it is, pull the plug on Bond 23 and or Craig? Unlikely. They may demand revisions to the script but that is not unusual.

I'm sure MGM is happy to have them say everything is a ok. But it gone a bit further now and MGMs private problems are now front page news.

If Dench and the littlest Bond were being honestest they would say all we know is Eon has talked to us about 2011 for filming.

Nic-Nack-Paddy-Wack

Dench speaking out this soon is actually a good sign for those who'd like her and or Craig to go. Last time she spoke out this early (based on what she was tole by Eon) she was reassuring fans "Pierce would be Back"

Poor reviews for Nine. Another bomb for Kidman? Dench probably sorry she signed on for it?

The cast is sure doing a lot of promotion for it and it's being advertised a lot. I've seen Dame Judi(and Nicole Kidman, and Penelope Cruz, etc.) on Oprah and Larry King.

I think Kidman is now over the hill at her young age? Agree? She just does not bring in the audiences. Hey, she might be an Octopussy-type Bond villainess
