I take it the character probably required it. I remember reading somewhere that it was Redford's decision to grow a handlebar moustache for Butch Cassiday and the Sundance Kid because he thought the character required it.

Why would Babs be involved with these kind of creative decisions anyway....but even if she is.....again, who cares?

And again, if it was her decision to decide that Craig's character must sport a moustache....who cares.

It's not exactly crime of the century to make an actor look unflattering for the sake of the role he or she is playing.

Stick to whatever beliefs you want. Your past record shows this is something you have trouble with anyway....sticking to one point of view.

With regards him looking ridiculous, maybe the character requires it? Maybe the charcter he is playing is a sleazy porn stype character.....but I guess that may be something that could be difficult for you to understand.....that an actor can aquire something for the sake of the role he is playing.

Did you think De Niro looked ridiculous when he gained obese weight in Raging Bull? Did you think John Hurt looked ridiculous when he donned his ugly mask for The Elephant Man?

I heard on the radio the other day about Craig hiring security whilst Jackman has none, and knew that you chaps would just love that one.
And the 'stache. Yep it's a pearler aint it? But as The Sweenster points out. It is for the role he's playing.
But then I stumbled upon this http://www.femalefirst.co.uk/movies/Top ... -7533.html, seems Daniel Craig has been voted number 1 best movie torso. Beating both Gerard Butler and Brad Pitt and earning himself over a third of all the votes.
Well there ya go. Hope all is well?
Seems not alot has changed in some quarters, but I notice other areas have still got some common sense to them.

I think Craig looks 'ridiculous' in the role as Bond, the heck with the Elephant Man and Raging Bull. Speaking of Raging Bull, I am friends with one of the boxers in the film.

What Sweenster does not understand is that ANYTHING Craig does that makes him look worse is not good for his career, which is going nowhere now, by all accounts. Once Bond is done, this 'so-called' best actor to ever play Bond(MGW statement) will be forgotten faster than one can notice.

I'm not defending the porn tache at all. It does make him look a bit silly.

BUT....if the charcater he is playing needs to have the tache, then so what? Craig is an actor, and actors all do physical changes to themselves if the role requires it.

How can Craig looking ridiculous on Broadway add to him positively? It does not fit him, as he does not fit the Bond role. If they need a mustached cop, then pick an actor, not necessarily Craig, who looks distinguished with one. "So you're a Toro too" two?

As he's not playing James Bond it can't relate to his incarnation of James Bond.
All the other actors to play James Bond have had a moustache before, during or after their tenure in the role. Yet it appears to be fine for them.
Must be a Craignotbond thing.
I will say it does have a kind of Y-M-C-A kind of thing going on. Not the best look. But then I still think Connery is the best Bond even after this...

A giant adult nappy, ponytail, tache and knee high boots. Grrrrrrrrrrrr.

Logic would say that on Broadway look your best, correct? Anything that diminishes him is not good for ANY future roles. I personally could care less for the quicker this loon's exit as Bond, the better. Bond has been in ABSENTIA since 2002 anyway.

I doubt that the play will be a hit, with the only people wanting to see it being nerdy Bond fans.They will happily pay WAY too much money to see Daniel Craig in *anything*, no matter how awful it is.

There would / might be some fans that did that. But since it's a broadway show you're really only going to get a handful of New Yorkers / losers shell out to see Craig...and Jackman in a play.
Now where's my flight details.

IMO this is the sort of thing New York theater audiences run away from. I think it would be more credible(only a little...) if they had cast someone else in Daniel Craig's role.Unfortunately there are very few people who can rock a porn 'stache.

Depends what role you're playing. It would be a bit weird dressing up to the nines if you're playing a homeless person, for example.
