Nortons Incredible Hulk is a 1000 times better than that abomination HULK. Which is the equivalent of the latest Bond movie.
Being better than Ang Lee's garbage does not say much though. Norton's Hulk was definitely better than Lee's but still falls so short due to the wrong storyline. The Hulk is meant to save the country from enemies, not to fight against a fanatic soldier of the government. All they need to do is follow Spiderman's lead and create the proper villains.

No, that's Captain America. The Hulk represents "the beast within" and doesn't owe any loyalty to anyone or any country. He's more like King Kong or Frankenstein's monster (sorry, creature) than Spiderman.
"He's the one that doesn't smile" - Queen Elizabeth II on Daniel Craig
Exactly. She could have picked a zillion different actors for the second role and yet she chooses Craig? That's a bit suspect,IMO.
Well, she *is* producing the play so it is her call, but it doesn't help the accusations that she tends to be a bit..*searches for a word but can only think of "incestuous"* where her projects are concerned.

Hate to disagree with you here but Incredible Hulk is what a Hulk movie should be. The Ang Lee crap is the sort of high mined crap that Bond is trying to be now. It just will not work for the Bond world and more importantly isn't fun to watch.

Leterrier could have made this SO much better. It was a missed opportunity. Lee ruined the Hulk with that psycho babble Banner nonsense. They should choose directors for action films who are true fans of the genre, not novices who crave artsy attention, like Forster's and Lee's trash.
Maybe with Helm, Spielberg will make a spy movie franchise that is actually close in style to the books...you certainly can't say that about the Bond films!
bjmdds wrote:Matt Helm? From my Dean Martin days with Lovey Cravesit? Will he go serious or Flint-like campy?
Serious, I hope.Well, if Spielberg can't do a Bond film he might as well do the next best thing, even if it *is* a remake.
I understand the novels were a lot more serious in tone than the original films with Dino. So probably serious.
If he goes serious and makes a better Bond with a nonBond series several other movie makers are going to follow him. That will mean eon coming back around and getting in line with everybody else.

Maybe. It might take Babs' retiring only to be replaced by her kids, and I don't see that happening for a while, unfortunately.
Anyone else think it was a crime that Dean Martin was given a bigger salary for his Bond spoofs than what Connery got as Bond? Totally unfair on Broccoli's part, especially since Dean Martin was a horrible horrible actor.
Anyway, hope the Matt Helm films are good enough to erase everyone's memory of those horrible Martin vehicles.
