I don't think it will help Craig as much as he seem to think it will. He is not stage actor and is almost forced into doing this becasue of how other actors view him. His acting creds are not up to snuff when he avoids the stage like his has for the majority of his life. Actors like Patrick Stewartand Jackman make time for the stage and get the kudos that goes along with it in their circles.

Craig doesn't have the voice or the look accel on stage. People in the audience are going to look at short monosyllabic Craig standing next to charismatic Jackman and wonder why he is the one doing Bond and not the other way round. That is about all I expect to happen, aside from maybe a few juicy stories about Craig's temper fits and screw ups

Correct assessments Mazer. Audiences will see FIRST HAND who SHOULD be Bond and compare him to 'mumbles' Craig.

Someone elsewhere was asking what sort of control Babs and Mikey have over the Bond films. Pretty much complete control. They could have found that out with a bit of quick googling, finding some choice comments about the dastardly duo as well :P

Broccoli has tarnished her daddy's franchise with her new Bond and her vision.

I'll probably wait. I had to sit in the front row when I saw Bruno last weekend. HP will be just as popular, if not more so.

I'm not really interested in whether Craig and Jackman are a hit on broadway. Though I'd hope that it all goes well for all concerned.
But this isn't anything to do with James Bond. So I don't care.
If it was Craig playing Bond on broadway, then I'd be alarmed. As it stands, Craig is still a d**n fine Bond. And I look forward to his return in Bond 23. Hoping that it's a better outing than QOS, and more akin to CR.

The other day on Howard Stern's radio show,he was saying that Live And Let Die hasn't aged well. To some degree, he's right.

Harry Potter's films will soon surpass the number one Bond's "franchise" total of $5 billion in ticket sales with the release of The Half Blood Prince. Broccoli will see her daddy's enterprise fall to number two in this regard.

Ther Harry Potter films aren't perfect, but they're better cast- and a lot less full of plot holes and bad villains- than the Bond films!

It's not the first time that has happened, with regard to the HP movies.
The Potter films have knocked Bond of the number 1 spot before. I think during the Brosnan era, or probably inbetween.
So it's nothing new to EON.
The Harry Potter movies have mass appeal, are entertaining, and well made. There's no reason why they shouldn't make alot of money.
But should Bond be worried?
Not really, a different kind of film, younger audience. You can't compare the two.

Series to series potter is limited to the books.Bond left the core of the books in the 1960's visiting from time to time since.Bond can do more movies based on nothing but the original idea.Bourne might be the only competition series to series in the long run.Unless Disney restarts the Pirates of the Caribbean series.

Yeah, but the quality of the Harry Potter films has been consistently good. Unlike the Bond films which stray from the books. And not always succeeding.

That's true in a sense. I love Bond but have no interest whatsoever in Harry Potter.
