The real tell that monty was full of s**t is the line "he died on set". He'd have to be working for that to happen!

I actualy would be sad if the deaths of either Stocks or Daniel Craig had been true

The link originated from the Jeff Goldblum death hoax that just came up today.
I still believe in the "Goldblum is an alien" hoax though: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-pDIMm5B ... re=related

Actually, I think it was done about Tom Hanks before Goldblum.stockslivevan wrote:The link originated from the Jeff Goldblum death hoax that just came up today.

His career might be, but I never want to hear that about people. Michael Jackson's former family attorney warned the family this would happen if the drugs/drinking continued. Autopsy/toxicology will prove him correct. Elvis and these types cannot handle it all.stockslivevan wrote:I'm pretty sure you've guys heard of this breaking news.![]()
Daniel Craig (1968-2009)
I hope you're happy BJ.

Cr would have made money with Danny DeVito or Jean-Claude Van Damme as Bond with Michael Bay directing.QOS proved people will buy s**t.stockslivevan wrote:I said "the likes of you", as in a group of BJs, which is a pretty vocal minority. If it were otherwise then Craig would have flopped with CR like you originally predicted and a Bond 23 with Daniel Craig wouldn't have ever been thought of.bjmdds wrote:Just moi? Are you kidding monsieur Stocks? The internet is overloaded with those that think this is all a bad Bond dream.

Yeah, it's just impossible that Craig could be a fairly popular Bond! Impossible I say!!!oscartheman wrote:Cr would have made money with Danny DeVito or Jean-Claude Van Damme as Bond with Michael Bay directing.QOS proved people will buy s**t.

I think you guy already gave this point away. Just about anybody could be in these movies, the name Bond is the sales point not the actor so much. I'm pretty sure you guys admitted that awhile back.stockslivevan wrote:Yeah, it's just impossible that Craig could be a fairly popular Bond! Yet much of the praise heaped on CR by critics was aimed at Craig as Bond in the role. Likewise, although QoS was slated by many critics, many of them praised Craig as the only decent thing in the movie.Mazer Rackham wrote:I think you guy already gave this point away. Yes, to an extent as shown with Dalton's films which made money based on their brand name but Dalton himself unfortunately wasn't popular with the public hence the lowest ticket sales, still they made enough to insure a third Dalton film, until copyright entanglements ruined it. Bond films will always make money, but it takes an actor to give it that extra push. As Sweeney points out, Craig gets plenty of praise, even in the unpopular QOS and so far his two films made as much as Moore and Brosnan's films, give or take. Given that kind of tracking, I say he's already on his way, or perhaps already is, in line with Moore and Brosnan as the popular Bonds, not something you can say for the rest. All Craig has to do now is keep it up. Deny it all you like.Mazer Rackham wrote:I think you guy already gave this point away. Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
$200 million was spent for QOSTBM for production costs alone, not including marketing/advertising ,and Eon did not get the return they had hoped for I am sure. When you see the massive money being spent on movie tickets the past 8 months, actually helped by a global recession no less with people flocking to cheaper movies than going out elsewhere, you wonder why other films were so much more successful spending so much less. Harry Potter now awaits it's release. It passed going toe to toe with QOS in November and now it will be released. QOS had NO real competition and it fizzled fast, a front loaded flop.

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
Making it's budget was not what I was talking about BJ, I was speaking in terms of ticket sales. Even then, I hardly call something over $500 million a flop. That's just crazy talk.
Could it have done better and reached CR's take? Perhaps, but given that QOS was unpopular in comparison I suppose that was the most it really could make. It's funny how you always say that it had no competition as if movie goers were forced to see QOS. Nobody's pointed a gun to their heads, they paid for the tickets to go see it. If they didn't want to see it, they wouldn't have and the film's opening would have been weak. The only people that went to go see it with a quantum of reluctance was you folks.
You wanna talk flop? Let's discuss Cutthroat Island.

I'm not really sure where Eon are supposed to go with DC if they abandon the blank, stoic Jason Bourne copycat approach. He can't really do the suave ladykiller thing that Connery did because he doesn't have the looks or the same ease with light comedy.

Those 2 pictures display the STARK contrast of the true Bond vs. this fraud being perpetrated on society.

Is there a photo comparison where he would look good?
