I'm guessing his script for this is what got him the Bond gig, since nothing else on that list is even remotely in the spy or action genres.Mazer Rackham wrote:Bloody Morgan's credits for those who want to know.

Once again Eon will perpetuate this madness of Craig as Bond with another odd writer with NO experience in this genre. Watch the director be the same.

That Purvis and Wade certainly lead charmed lives.

I'm guessing that's why Purvis and Wade are still around. Morgan will write all of the character stuff (given that most of his flicks are character driven) while Purvis and Wade structure all of the usual action/spy stuff.Kristatos wrote:I'm guessing his script for this is what got him the Bond gig, since nothing else on that list is even remotely in the spy or action genres.Mazer Rackham wrote:Bloody Morgan's credits for those who want to know.

Mazer they are only going though the motions to keep MGM on its feet? That don't sound right.
Morgan sounds like a much better script writer then they've had in many many years

EON were lucky to get Peter Morgan....he's a nice antidote to Purvis and Wade.

Maybe they want Forest Whitaker as a new baddie, who starred in one of his scripts?

I've only seen parts of The Last King of Scotland, but Forest Whitaker was pretty d**n good in it. Totally deserved that Oscar. So him as a villain in a Bond film? Maybe a Mr. Big-like character, although I'd like to see him play an ally.
Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
Agreed about Whitaker deserving the Oscar-he was freakin' SCARY in that movie but he was SO good. Yeah, either a ally or a villain-either would do.stockslivevan wrote:I've only seen parts of The Last King of Scotland, but Forest Whitaker was pretty d**n good in it. Totally deserved that Oscar. Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
Michael Sheen will probably be in the Bond 23 as well. :

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
Dominic, funny you mention that because there has been a lot of suggesting of Michael Sheen for a Q-type role over at Commander Bond.
Personally,(and this is just my opinion) I wouldn't be surprised if the director for Bond 23 is someone that Peter Morgan has worked with before.

CommanderBond.net, the sister site to MI6? Another Craig think tank.

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
Commander Bond can be pretty fanw*anky. The posters there aren't as unwelcoming as other places thoughbjmdds wrote:CommanderBond.net, the sister site to MI6? Another Craig think tank.

LOL MI6 claim not to acknowlege Commander Bond's existence, and when they do, it's always negative

Stephen Frears (The Queen, Dirty Pretty Things) might be an interesting choice of director for a Bond film. But would he want to do it?katied wrote:Personally,(and this is just my opinion) I wouldn't be surprised if the director for Bond 23 is someone that Peter Morgan has worked with before.

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
Most of his "character driven" films are biographies of living or recent historical figures. Maybe that's how he'll approach Bond. Wonder if he's read John Pearson's "biography" of the character?stockslivevan wrote: I'm guessing that's why Purvis and Wade are still around. Kevin Macdonald, who has worked with Morgan on The Last King Of Scotland- Macdonald as director- is the brother of Andrew Macdonald, who produced 28 Days Later..if bro Macdonald had some input..a zombie spy movie?

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
I didn't remember this until after I had posted last night, but Frears was lined up to direct the proposed-then-abandoned Jinx spin-off movie, so he's definitely on EON's radar.katied wrote:I'd love to see Frears do it.

I found this while I was looking at a site called Britmovie:
Can I get an AMEN?
Purvis and Wade have had nearly all their Bond scrpits rewritten by others.I don't know why EON perseveres with them
Can I get an AMEN?

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
Not from me. I haven't read their first drafts of the scripts, so I can't be sure, but I have a suspicion that they're probably better than the rewritten versions.katied wrote:I found this while I was looking at a site called Britmovie:
