Casino Royale premiere on USA June 4th

Post by Kristatos »

Just saw a trailer for it during a commercial break in an episode of Law and Order. It starts at 6pm and leads into the season premiere of Burn Notice at 9pm.

3 hours? I'm assuming a lot of that 3 hours is going to be ads, since they'll have to edit out quite a bit when it airs on TV.

Considering they paid a shedload of money for it, they're going to need to sell a lot of advertising space in order to recoup their investment.

USA paid $20 million for a five-year deal
Did USA Overpay for ‘Casino Royale’?

I imagine that the 3hr run time possibly has a commercial sponsor to limit the number of breaks. Other shorter Bond movies have a 3 hour run time with a plethora of commercials.

I won't watch every time it's on ,but it'll be a change from the usual USA programming of Law And Order/Law and Order:Criminal Intent/Law and Order:Special Victims Unit. :P

I hope it's not Sony, otherwise it'll be hard to tell the commercial breaks from the actual movie.

They've been showing some of the older Bond films on TCM(Turner Classic Movies) here in the States, without ads.

I find it interesting they're not advertising CR-you'd think, getting a big premiere like that, they would, especially since it's on it 2 days' time.

I've seen the ad a few times. Mind you, we watch USA a lot, as Mrs. Kristatos is a big Law and Order fan (especially SVU).
