Re: Liam Neeson
Too old. He was link to that McClory/Sony renegade Bond film and GoldenEye. Personally I never really saw him as Bond.

I thought McClory wanted Dalton for his rogue Bond film?James wrote:He' d have been up agaisnt Sir Pierce of Brosnan in 1999.

Re: Liam Neeson
Dalton remained friendly with Eon so was unlikely. According to the internet Neeson was the favourite for a Sony Bond film. Despite rumours I can't believe Sean Connery could have made a James Bond film in 1999. I miss the days when McClory would threaten to make a Bond film every year from his garden shed.

Yes, how many remakes of Thunderball did he think the world needed?James wrote: I miss the days when McClory would threaten to make a Bond film every year from his garden shed.

Re: Liam Neeson
Barbara Broccoli probably would have thought Neeson was too old, or too ugly(or both)

Re: Liam Neeson
I don't care. Like I said, I've no particular desire to see endless remakes of Thunderball, which is all that McClory had the right to do.FormerBondFan wrote:It's a pity we'll never going see another rogue Bond movie being made.

Re: Liam Neeson
I think it would be interesting to see Neeson play an aging James Bond, which was an aspect in NSNA that was brought up once but then forgotten as quickly as the hype for that film.
Re: Liam Neeson
I think there was talk of making Shrublands a diving school. You could probably have changed it enough to get one more film out of it.

Re: Liam Neeson
I remember watching the opening scene of Schindler's List and being impressed with the way Neeson/Schindler was so commanding, suave and rugged. He smoothly charmed the Nazis and their women. Afterward, I began thinking of him as the next Bond because he projected masculinity, intelligence and fearlessness with such aplomb. Like Connery, he moved with a kind of grace that is uncommon for a big man.
Re: Liam Neeson
I like Neeson. He's too old for Bond, but it'd be nice for him to get some work, especially right now
