You should have been more clear with the "drowning in toilet sink" part as if Craig literally drown his victim in toilet water. And to get technical, it was a urinal the bad guy broke before getting drowned in that washing sink.
Besides, even Brosnan's debut was knocking out a commie while he was taking a dump at the john.

No clue, either way it doesn't really bother me. Interesting vocabulary, you always refer to the restroom as the toilet instead of the bathroom or lavatory.

'Craig's Bond attempts to drown his victim in a sink inside a public lavatory'......better?
paco chaos wrote:I grew up with Moore as Bond. I remember seeing the Saint in reruns when I was about 10 years old and thinking it was cool that there was a show with James Bond in it. I knew Connery was the first Bond, and liked him as well, but if I went to the theatre to see a new Bond film, Moore was the actor portraying him. I think it weirded a great deal of my friends out when Dalton took over, since they had a similar experience and didn't know that much about the character outside of the movies. plus, I don't think any of had seen On Her Majesty's Secret Service until discovering it in a video rental store. So Lazenby wasn't really someone any of us were familiar with. just Moore and Connery.
The contrast from Moore to Dalton was stark, to say the least, plus they went from a 58 year old Bond to a 42 year old Bond.

I never asked you to correct your sentences, but do as you wish.

Are you American? You use the word "restroom", so I'm guessing so. Saying "toilet" instead of "bathroom" is fairly common in British English.

Both RM and PB had elements of the dark gritty Bond. I accept that their films were more light hearted than Dalton and a couple of Connery's, but they had elements of Fleming in their respective portrayal's as Bond.
When?
Gritty/dark moments for Brosnan include the killing of Alec Trevelyan in GE. The killing of Dr Kaufman in TND and the torture scene in DAD.
For Moore I would say the killing of Sander in TSWLM. The killing of Loque in FYEO and the scene in TMWTGG where Bond points the rifle at the guy who makes the golden bullets (Can't remember his name).
A few examples for you. Do you agree Nash?

The killing of Trevelyan I'll give you. The Dr.Kaufman stuff was extremely over rated. A poor character, a laughing stock trying to pass himself as a world class hit man, and then Bonds assassination of him. Might do it for some of ya. I still think it's a poor scene. I would put for Moore the confession to Anya in TSWLM, and the killing of Locque in FYEO, but the oft overlooked face off with Orlov in the train carriage in OP would be my top choice for the Moore era.
Oh and it's Sandor in TSWLM, and Lazar is the gun maker in TMWTGG.

The Kaufman scene showed Brosnan could kill in a cold blooded fashion that demonstrated a dark side. I do agree that Kaufman was a poor character though. A really poor hitman.

You are quite useful after all.
BTW Did you know Lazar off the top of your head or did you do a bit of research. I did notice you viewed the post then disappeared for 5 mins.

The torture scene at the beginning of DAD was quite a violent scene in Bond film history, and to me, outdoes Craig's genital torture scene in CR. Do you agree Luke?

But did Nash like Dr. Kaufman's alter ego in Ghost, "Oh if I could only have a drag"......I agree, he was a lame hit man, nothing like Sydow in Marathon Man.

You're right. What was I thinking? After being kept in a Korean prison camp for full 14 months, always being woke up by ice water, being stung by scorpions, beaten down daily while having your wrists cuffed all those months, never once being treated like a human being. Infact, the torture was so brutal that it had vital effects on Bond physically and mentally. So severe that the day after he is released from that hell hole, Bond stopped his own heart, was revived with a defibrulator, used it to overpower the staff, then jumped overboard and swam across Hong Kong harbor to his favorite 5-star hotel and walking in it as if he never got a scratch from the whole ordeal despite he didn't have the excercise to perform all that.

A brutal torture that must have been to him.
And Craig's Bond having Vesper sitting on his lap while recovering from a genital pounding as well as romancing on a beach makes sense?
