It's time to bring back 'fun' to Bond. Just look at that face. He suits better playing the painting in Ghostbusters II.

Will Star Trek and Wolverine both pass QOSTBM in the USA at the box office? I do not know the international interest in both, but domestically, both should exceed QOS and CR.

I'm sure Trek well. Not sure of Wolverine, that film dropped very fast and the word of mouth is not good at all and yes it's getting it much worse than QOS ever did. I'm pretty sure just like the three previous X-Men films, this one won't pass either CR or QOS, worldwide. :P

Here's the real question, can Jackman have a major hit film without it being related to X-Men?

Stocks, that's a good question and it will be interesting to see. Will be it be a epic fail, like Craig's non-Bond films?(I read some less than stellar reviews of Australia which he was in. )

I just find it ironic that BJ is swinging on Jackman's nuts saying he has the star power and such to bring audiences but the only major hits he starred in were X-Men, and it's obvious that brand name contributed to its box office takings, otherwise Australia or whatever other film he was in would have been regarded as a major hit. I don't deny Craig is in the same position, like his predecessors other than Connery, he doesn't have the star power to get audiences flocking to non-Bond films.

To throw a bone, Jackman was one of the voices for Happy Feet...

Yes... That's right. You can already hear BJ typing away about how Jackman trounced Craig with his major star power elevating Happy Feet. It's the only explanation!

Australia - 211 Million
The Golden Compass - 372 Million

I should note, they both star Nichole Kidman!

Surprising, given that Golden Compass wasn't that great(and also starred Daniel Craig). The Golden Compass didn't do well enough to warrant a sequel, and what with the fact that they changed the ending from the book, that also would have made a sequel problematic.

ISTR Van Helsing did quite well internationally, though less so in the US, despite the critical mauling it received (confession time: the film is something of a guilty pleasure for me in spite, or perhaps because, of its unrepentant cheesiness).

Did you like Swordfish? Is Jackman more Bond-ish than Craig? Is he more of the Bond look than Craig? Does he require lifts in his shoes to look taller like Craig does? Does he have a better and proper hair style for Bond? Is he more enjoyable to watch and wouldn't he bring back more fun to the role?

I hadn't seen that in years, but the one time I did I didn't really think it was that good.
Is Jackman more Bond-ish than Craig?
I hadn't seen him a role that required him to be "Bondish".
Is he more of the Bond look than Craig?
He's got dark hair, so I'll give him that.
Does he require lifts in his shoes to look taller like Craig does?
Why does that matter?
Does he have a better and proper hair style for Bond?

I wouldn't know because I never saw him in a role quite like that.

For me what really matters to Bond more than superficial features like hairstyle is the attitude, the swagger. Craig's isn't gonna be a contender for Brad Pitt-like prettyboy looks, but he's got enough swagger as Bond to be as popular in the role as he obviously is today. Connery utterly nailed in that aspect, no one ever caught up to that kind of awesomeness. Dalton didn't have swagger, however he was intentionally going for the Fleming spirit than the Bond that Connery made famous. Lazenby tried. Moore was too foppish. Brosnan was too stiff. As for Jackman, again, I haven't seen a role he played that required swagger, yet. So I can't judge whether he'd work as Bond.

But hey, that's just how I look at it.

Certainly BJ's championing of Jackman is no worse than what certain posters do for Craig..The championing of Craig has gotten downright oppressive at times..just sayin'. :P
