Swine flu or not, does Wolverine top $75 million in the USA this weekend? Star Trek looks bigger than forecasted.

Craig is non-existent now and no talk of any future non-Bond starring roles, or are there?katied wrote:And Craig isn't. Doesn't surpise me.He's not on a par with any of the other people that are on the walk of fame.

If there are non-Bond films, the'll probabaly sink like a stone.I heard rumors about a sequel to Flashbacks Of A Fool. The only thing I have to say to that is "why?"bjmdds wrote:Craig is non-existent now and no talk of any future non-Bond starring roles, or are there?katied wrote:And Craig isn't. And was only in one movie theater in the U.S. If that isn't a flop I don't know what is!Sequel to a film that closed up in 1 week here?
Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
Well, his IMDb entry only shows Bond 23 and his small role in the Tintin movie (which I thought had been cancelled due to an inability to secure financing, but maybe it's back on again - I hope so, cos I want to see it) in Craig's future. You'll probably regard that as good news, but I don't, because it means he'll probably want to stick with the Bond franchise until he's pushing 60, like Roger did, to his later regret.bjmdds wrote:Craig is non-existent now and no talk of any future non-Bond starring roles, or are there?katied wrote:And Craig isn't. I don't want Daniel Craig to fail....but let's face it.He kind of has with his non-Bond films.I seriously think he sabotages his career because he picks these non-Bond scrips that turn out to be, by and large, flops.

Craigs continued failure reinforces how wrong he is for 007.Is there a role that he will not suck at.Nobody has found one yet.Big budget high profile movies tumble to their knees with Craig on the banner. Before 007 he could not find a toe hold to save him the only difference is today he is hand picking them. The man is not meant to headline a lice commercial.

Defiance is a good example. It had potential, despite the subject matter, but Daniel Craig =box office poisonoscartheman wrote:Craigs continued failure reinforces how wrong he is for 007.Is there a role that he will not suck at.Nobody has found one yet.Big budget high profile movies tumble to their knees with Craig on the banner. Before 007 he could not find a toe hold to save him the only difference is today he is hand picking them. The man is not meant to headline a lice commercial.

And he was not the actor that got the buzz from that one.The new Sabertooth got the all attention and praise. What Craig got was asked to stop taking himself so seriously.katied wrote:Defiance is a good example.

Maybe that's the thinking with the Tin Tin movie. It isn't even that big of a part but again:Box office poison.

Jackman with Wolverine opened with over $85 million in the USA this weekend. This guy could increase Bond 22's take by 20% probably in Bond 23, if Eon acts quickly.

I think it's common knowledge that the success comes from the fact that this is an X-Men film rather than Hugh Jackman starring in it. Leave it to BJ to not acknowledge that nor the reviews which seem to be quite a bit more unfriendly than even QOS got.
Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
Plus, didn't Jackman already turn down the role of Bond? Or at least Wikipedia said he did, for what that's worth.stockslivevan wrote:I think it's common knowledge that the success comes from the fact that this is an X-Men film rather than Hugh Jackman starring in it. Never say never. This Craig farce MUST end. He has become quite boring to be honest, in and out of Bond. Eon does not even seem in any rush for Bond 23 with Craig.

I have so little faith in Barbara Broccoli's taste in men that are suitable for Bond it's not even funnybjmdds wrote:Never say never. This Craig farce MUST end. He has become quite boring to be honest, in and out of Bond. Eon does not even seem in any rush for Bond 23 with Craig.

She is definitely "Alicia Silverstone Clueless" about Bond, that is for sure.
