I wonder what Miyazaki would do with Bond? Princess Bondonoke anyone?carl stromberg wrote:It looks like Eon will have to make an animated musical Bond film.bjmdds wrote:After 4 weeks in Japan, Mamma Mia!($21.3 million) has outgrossed QOS($19.9 million) which has been there 5 weeks now. More food for EON/MGM to ruminate over and decide what to do in 2011.

What would you do if Daniel Craig provided the voice though?carl stromberg wrote:It looks like Eon will have to make an animated musical Bond film.bjmdds wrote:After 4 weeks in Japan, Mamma Mia!($21.3 million) has outgrossed QOS($19.9 million) which has been there 5 weeks now. Animation is going to become more popular, I think. There have seen several animated movies (Persepolis and Waltz With Bashir, which I saw today,) that got rave reviews. Does that mean EON should try it? Oh HELL no

Never saw that series but from what I've read it isn't fondly remembered.

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
According to the Wkipedia page for James Bond Jr. it was over the top.Ever more so than some of the Bond films

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
I'm not really advocating for an animated Bond here, but just because there was one bad animated Bond-related series back in the 80's (which were a fallow period for animation generally - even Disney sucked), it doesn't mean that no Bond animated series could ever be any good. The Japanese in particular have a long history of producing animation for adults rather than kids.

IMO the only way they could do an animated Bond is if it was an unofficial film-without the help of Mike'n' Babs. But that's just me.

British director DANNY BOYLE will not take the helm of the next JAMES BOND movie - despite insisting he's a huge fan of the 007 franchise.
The acclaimed moviemaker was reportedly approached by Bond bosses to direct the upcoming sequel to last year's (08) Quantum of Solace after he swept the board at February's (09) Oscars with Slumdog Millionaire.
A source told Britain's The Sun newspaper, "He has been offered the chance to direct the 23rd Bond film by (Bond producer) Barbara (Broccoli). Everyone on the Eon team thinks Danny would be the perfect addition to the Bond family."
However, despite the modest filmmaker insisting he is "flattered" to be linked with the Bond brand - he has no plans to direct the next movie.
A spokeswoman tells WENN, "While Danny says he always has and always will enjoy the Bond movies he has no plans to direct one. Danny is naturally flattered to be thought of!"

Boyle directing a Bond film would make Bond nerds happy. His name comes up frequently(along with Christopher Nolan, who also will never do it no matter how much Bond fans fanw*ank it
) when the topic of who should direct a Bond film comes up.
