I'm aware of that. I was pointing out that Dalton apparently had the chance to come back but couldn't be bothered. He'd done two Bonds (as Craig has now), didn't see the point in carrying on making the same film for Eon etc. I don't think Craig will bugger off either.Kristatos wrote:Dalton didn't "make a run for it", his contract expiredJames wrote:Anyone think it's possible Craig will do a Timothy Dalton and make a run for it himself?

I'm not sure what Craig's contract is. Three films?James wrote:Anyone think it's possible Craig will do a Timothy Dalton and make a run for it himself? I can't believe he wants to go back and make too many more crap films like QoS with MGW and Babs.
Bring back Bond!
Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
It seems to vary depending on which story you read. There was one story that said it was 5, but Craig denied it. He didn't seem too sure himself.carl stromberg wrote:I'm not sure what Craig's contract is. My guess is that we're stuck with him for at least one more, maybe 2 movies and that's it.

Defiance appears to be another Craig gem with only $34 million brought in "worldwide" with a $50 million production budget, not even counting marketing, on 1700 screens here in the USA after 3 full weekends. OUCH! The bean counters of that studio will have a hard time relaying the bad numbers to their executives.

That's pretty weak. I'll probably rent it when it's on DVD and even then..I might fast forward through most of it.

Oh and to answer your question, BJ: we're stuck with him for a few more movies.I'm not crazy about it but I don't think EON is going to do a 360 and fire him.

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
There seems to be some debate about that. I kinda hope it's only two more but that's just me.

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
If I recall correctly, Craig has the same contract that Moore, Dalton and Brosnan had. Three films with an optional fourth. Moore and Dalton fulfilled their contract by performing in four films. Dalton's expired in 1994.
Connery had a different contract apparently, no limited number of films, just an expiration date. Lazenby's was to be a seven picture contract. Since then they've stuck with the same contract that started with Moore.
There should be no doubt that Craig will return for a third picture, no matter how many times BJ insists that he'll get dumped because of either his non-Bonds not doing good or QOS making less. Moore, Dalton (until the legal dispute) and Brosnan were all going to return after their second films, all of which did not perform as well as their firsts. It shouldn't be any different with Craig.

Daniel Craig has a 157 film contract with a clause that stipulates he has to marry Barbara Broccoli by 2012. My advice to them is to get on with it because he looks craggy enough already.
