It is the X Factor final and it is between JLS, Alexandra and Eoghan. Who do you want to win and are you looking forward to it?

I think Alexandra will win. I'm not an avid watcher. Who did you want to win captain?
I did read that Simon Cowell is being a bit mean with the winner's recording contract.

I wanted JLS to win, but I was not bothered by Alexandra winning, she deserved some good fortune.

Lady GaGa has knocked X Factor champion Alexandra Burke off the top of the UK singles chart.
The US pop singer - real name Stefani Germanotta - leaps to number one this week with her debut single 'Just Dance'.
'Just Dance', which features a cameo from New York rapper Colby O'Donis, also leads the US singles chart this week.
James Morrison and Nelly Furtado climb to two with 'Broken Strings', while Burke falls to three with her version of 'Hallelujah'.
Meanwhile, The Saturdays jump from 27 to six with 'Issues' to score their third consecutive top ten hit.
Other new tracks in the top ten come from Beyoncé, who climbs from 14 to eight with 'Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)', and Kevin Rudolf, who zooms from 40 to ten with his debut single 'Let It Rock'.
The top ten singles in full (click to read our reviews):
1. (3) Lady GaGa ft. Colby O'Donis: 'Just Dance'
2. (5) James Morrison ft. Nelly Furtado: 'Broken Strings'
3. (1) Alexandra Burke: 'Hallelujah'
4. (2) Leona Lewis: 'Run'
5. (6) Kings of Leon: 'Use Somebody'
6. (27) The Saturdays: 'Issues'
7. (4) Beyoncé: 'If I Were A Boy'
8. (14) Beyoncé: 'Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)'
9. (7) Katy Perry: 'Hot N Cold'
10. (40) Kevin Rudolf ft. Lil Wayne: 'Let It Rock'
I suppose it had to happen sooner or later.

Alexandra Burke's X Factor winning song has been voted into a list of the worst-ever cover versions.
'Hallelujah', which was originally written and recorded by Leonard Cohen, was named the 10th worst cover in a poll by Churchill Insurance.
Despite selling over a million copies and becoming the top-selling song of 2008, Burke's version of the song has met with some criticism.
William Shatner's interpretation of The Beatles' 'Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds' topped the list of the worst remakes, while Britney Spears came second with 'I Love Rock 'N' Roll'.
Former Pop Idol runner-up Gareth Gates featured twice in the list, which also featured fellow contestant Rik Waller.
The Top 10 worst cover versions were:
1. William Shatner: 'Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds'
2. Britney Spears: 'I Love Rock 'N' Roll'
3. Gareth Gates: 'Spirit In The Sky'
4. Kelly Osbourne: 'Papa Don't Preach'
5. Terry Wogan: 'The Floral Dance'
6. Madonna: 'American Pie'
7. Gareth Gates: 'Unchained Melody'
8. Rolf Harris: 'Stairway To Heaven'
9. Rik Waller: 'I Will Always Love You'
10. Alexandra Burke: 'Hallelujah'
I thought Hallelujah was good.

It's back! I thought the first episode was good and I like the new format. Apparently that Daniel person has become a new Susan Boyle.

Thought it was a good first episode, I still can't believe what Dannii said last night though.

William Shatner is a marevellous musician - how dare they!
Alexandra Burke seems to be having a promotional blitz at the moment.

I loved Jedward's performance of Ghostbusters! Thought I did think today's episode was slower than usual.

And the lives shows start again! I thought it was an alright episode though I did love Wagner's performance of She Bangs/Love Shack. I hate that Cher girl, I hope she is in the bottom three tonight.

John left, shame really I thought he was an alright singer. I thought Adien's performance of Diamonds are Forever was odd though.

Is Cheryl Cole coming with Simon to do the USA version this fall?
Re: The X Factor
The way I read it, Simon Cowell wanted her for the US version, but the network resisted, because she isn't well-known enough in the States.bjmdds wrote:Is Cheryl Cole coming with Simon to do the USA version this fall?

Re: The X Factor
British newspaper, ‘News of the World’ is reporting that Cheryl Cole has been offered the judges role on both the UK and US versions of ‘X-Factor’ with a hefty 10 million pound paycheck to go with the jobs. However Mtv.co.uk states that recent reports have suggested that the show’s producers don’t feel her profile is high enough in the States and may instead plump for Katy Perry or Rihanna. They state that if Cheryl Cole is not given a judges spot on ‘X- Factor’ she will likely be given an adviser or mentor to the participants position.
