Sorry but I'm going to second the opinion that Fox News is hardly a credible news source.

Well, one critic putting it on their worst list doesn't really count for much, whether it's Fox Noise or a real news source. If it becomes a common occurrence, however, it might give EON pause for thought.

If Fox News had named it film of the year the other places would have been wetting themselves and congratulating the source. Incidently, BJ has made some cameo appearances on the Daniel Craig fansite forums over Christmas. The responses were predictable but it's always a bit of fun.

How much (if at all) does EON care about critic reviews? Websites that collect critic reviews and average them such as Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic haven't scored QOS very high. It has a 65/100% on Rotten Tomatoes and a 58/100 on the Metacritic metascore.

I think it's all they care about these days. Their hiring of people like Craig, Haggis, Forster etc. shows a hunger for critical approval that is sucking the life out of the Bond franchise.

Sorry, who is James Bond at the moment?
All of these box office figures, and inflation adjusted figures. Seriously where do some of you get the time. As if this was something life changeing.
The way I see it, is Quantum Of Solace was and is a successful James Bond film. Theatre drops and inflated figures can all go where the sun doesn't shine for all I care. It means jack.
Daniel Craig will be back as James Bond in Bond 23...there's something to think about. Will we see more of the same? Or will it be back to gadgets, girls and ott nonsense?
I'm all for it, but am also happy with the more serious tone. I guess another TLD, or OHMSS would be nice...something along those lines.
Thoughts?

I don't actually think Barbara knows how to make a James Bond film so the prospect of another Living Daylights or OHMSS is zero. I'd dispute the notion that QoS was successful or serious. It was an unbelievable mess of a film and effectively f****d up the reboot arc they've been loudly trumpeting since CR.

So it's back to square one. Shares in Craig & the reboot lost a lot of value in 2008.

The more I watch CR on cable, the worse it gets, and that MGW cameo must never be allowed again. He looks like he is lost in translation in these films. That must be his reward for going along with Barbara's ideas and allowing her to call the shots.

Quite predictable James. You would think Craig was their relative by their blind defense of him. It was interesting.

Doubtful considering that he was still praised even by the negative reviews. The negativity seems to go directly at the film instead of the actor.

Certainly wouldn't be me, since I don't really see QOS as the "film of the year".

Oh dear................QOS seems to of finished its run at most of the multiplexes in my area..............i was hoping to see it one more time!

Well at least it reached 50,000,000 quid in the UK.

This year i hope EON get their heads together, and come up with some fresh ideas!!

Reboot the reboot back to normalcy and start with Craig exiting. CR day 43 in USA= $1.56 million.....yesterday, day 43 TBMQOS= $495,000 estimate, which means less...OUCH!

Wait and see. Brosnan thought he was a shoe-in for number 21 too. All it takes is a quick phone call and Sony taking over.

Brosnan finished his contract at that point and it was announced earlier this year that QOS would be the last film for Sony to be involved with. From Bond 23 and on, it's MGM. Either way, Sony wouldn't be able to take over since EON is a private studio and that Danjaq holds the rights to all Bond. That's why Cubby and Saltzman created it, to prevent interference. All Sony/MGM can do is finance, distribute and market. If EON wasn't so pleased with them they could hire someone else eager enough. Why do you think Sony/MGM couldn't have a say in bringing back Brosnan instead of going with Craig?

Does this please Moneypenny to keep Craig? I just witnessed another aborted attempt by 2008 film makers to copy a classic film. The Day The Earth Stood Still is one of the classic sci-fi films from 1951, a true treasure. The Keanu Reeve's version, in a nutshell, . Will Smith's son had no place being in this film, it had no real ending, and Reeve's Klaatu looked as though he partied with Amy Winehouse and was on thorazine. Such junk. Forget about what they did with Gort the iconic robot too. This was as bad as Kurt Russell's remake of the 1951 classic The Thing. Horrid. :cuss:
