The point MP is that QOSTBM made history for the franchise, and NOT the kind of history Eon wanted a $230+ million Bond film to make. HISTORICAL fact for Craig's second outing.

Katied has slagged off every other movie out there for various reasons. The Transporter comparisons to Quark are valid and there is a new Transporter movie out too I can't slag off Transporter 3 and say Quark is better.
Twilight may not be your cuppa tea but I can't imagine its worse than Quark or that Australia could be as incoherent telling a story as Forster. There are plenty of really good movies out there right now but they are smaller films.
Not everyone lives in a big city or has access to a movie theater where Slumdog Millionaire or Milk are playing, both movies I want to see. *shrug*

I live in a major city, and while we're not L.A. and San Francisco,we usually get the quote limited release unquote films when everyone else does, more or less.

Dallas was a favorite show of mine in the 1980s here and that first episode scene annoyed all who were fans of the show. The point of forgetting the ENTIRE prior season though does apply to the pile of Bourne Eon is shoveling now. Craig was just asked if the next film would continue on this storyline arc, and in his usual classless, vulgar way said, "No f---ing way". He also now wants to explore Q and Moneypenny and have fun with that in a free standing plot! I guess all his bad press is getting into his head now. Craig is incapable of being a 'true' Bond and will fall on his face as such. There was no closure with TBM's storyline. We have no idea who these people are, what governments they represent, etc., but now Craig decided it's time for a fresh start. I'll say. Let's start with his dismissal. I find it hard to believe this film is still doing business in the now empty theatres it is playing in.

That has got to piss off the fanboys. Right after the reviews started rolling in it was the dark middle story of trilogy so what ever was bad wouldn't be so bad in a trilogy. Now not only is there no trilogy there was no point to CR through Quark. Quark is just a bad conclusion to CR and horrible Bond film/awful Bourne chapter.

Empty theaters?Hardly. There were 15 or so people in the theater when I saw it recently.I'm surprised, since it's been out for more than a month, that there are people that haven't seen it but the word of mouth isn't that great.Still, though...

You guys forget that in the same interview Craig says that the Quantum organization can still be used. He was talking about the Vesper storyline, not Quantum. The ending of QOS makes that clear enough.

Yeah...and what was the use of Yusuf- the payoff was seeing him for what, 5 minutes at the end of QOS.Bit of a lame duck, that.

Funny that should happen at all. Bond was over Vesper before the book ended and by LALD he was in love with the next Bond Girl.

go with that and you'll have to admit the biggest drop off too.

Absolutely. But these 2 facts could be twisted from either end of the spectrum. By clever wording, QoS could sound like the most successful Bond film ever, likewise, it could also sound like the biggest flop ever (as BJ pointed out).

Either way, EON are getting the cash, and we ain't..... :x
