Yes, i agree, that at the end of the day the important thing is that the Bond films are well made and are enjoyable.
Unfortunately, after the first viewing of QOS, i left the theatre totally underwhelmed by the experience.
I don't think i've ever been bored by a Bond film before........what a shame!

In fact i've had more fun trying to embalm myself!
I still can't believe how poorly QOS was filmed and edited, oh and the sound quality was poor, how many people could understand some of the mumbling dialogue.............in fact someone wrote that upto now Bond films had been director proof, but not any more.............and sadly i read a forum post where someone said they wanted to murder the editors in front of their families......blimey!
I may see QOS one more time, but on the first 2 viewings, i can honestly say that i would have to rank the film near the bottom of the Bond films.
I can see what the producers were trying to achieve...........but they made the wrong move in some key departments of the film, i.e. director and second unit director, and the result was a mess.
All in all, after the enjoyable film that was CR, i think the producers tried to fix the franchise when it didn't need fixing!!!(well some here may add DC to that as well
