There are worse films than GE and yet you vote against it instead of for it>?!

LTK is a worse film and yet it keeps getting pulled back from the brink and that was a film that almost killed the franchise

I got tired of voting against Moonraker and Octopussy all the time. Those are the only films left that are worse than Goldeneye in my opinion, yet they are riding high and any vote against them just gets put back the next day. I figured that picking off the straggler would have more effect, since I didn't really consider it worth saving - unlike LTK, which showed Craig and Haggis how to do a serious Bond film that still felt like a Bond film, with an actor who actually tailored his performance to fit James Bond, rather than the other way around.

I don't care for LTK. It's a mess. Dalton was alright but even he couldn't fix the problems with this script. He was really one of the finest actors to take the roll.
Craig is over rated, I haven't seen him use any sort of range in his acting. Same stuff warmed over each time. Dalton has an amazing range and charisma.

I'll vote with you next time on MR.

When thinking of the complaints about Brozza's last being too much and all that revisionist jazz, they need look at some of the Moore movies, not only poorly written and crammed with throwaway pop culture they also had poor production values.
DAD in story and production is head and shoulders above some of its stablemates not to forget its contemporaries.

I am finding it difficult to against any film. Licence To Kill was wonderful. It had a great cast, and Tim's performance was difficult to beat.

Like I said, OP and MR are now the only two films left that I feel comfortable voting against. I'm not against humour in Bond films on principle, but they are supposed to be action films, not comedies, and both those films went too far down the comedy route for my taste. If they were gone, I don't think I'd know what to vote against.

It easy for the franchise websites to pick. All the old movies are verboten. For the rest of us it's Sophie's Choice.

I don't like LTK for too many reason to list. Dalton was fine, the story was ridiculous and Miami Vice wannabe.

Why they didn't see fit to have Bond go after drug dealers becasue M sent him I'll never know. It happened often enough in the books.
FYEO was a vendetta on behest of M . The elements could have been mixed and crackerjack story the result.
