QOS Box Office

Despite my mixed feelings on the film!

QOS has just broken the alltime opening day BO in the UK with a take of GBP 4,900,000

Not surprising as the buildup for the film was huge, and with a willing audience to see the film after
the critically acclaimed CR.

I'd have been surprised if it had had a poor opening! Especially after the marketing campaign: Sony were worse than Barack Obama!

Good to hear. After some of the lukewarm reviews I was a little worried it may not match Casino Royale's takings, but this is much more encouraging.

To true Cyclone49, hopefully QOS can whip up a storm, and silence some of the naysayers.
Of course there will always be some who wont pipe down.

Or better, since that's kind of their job.

That's it - all gang up on me!

Of course films are marketed. But Quantum of Solace related ads and promos are everywhere here in the UK. There is Gemma's perfume ad; the coke ad; the laptop ad......

Naturally, I try to avoid Daniel Craig's face as much as possible ( ). It is rather difficult at the moment.

QOS:- OPENING DAY US GROSS:- $27,000,000 (estimated)

Blimey, a staggering sum for a Bond film, if only the film had had the quality of CR.
