It is in your conscious mind, correct? If I never gave it that title you would never know of it, correct? Since you see it 2 weeks before we do in the USA, we await your unbiased and truthful opinion. I may watch harness racing from NZ on the computer that opening night. Think of all of us Nasherino when you are sitting in your local cinema and gazing at the screen in awe, or will it be yawn?

Judging by the recent mags here in the UK (Craig's face is now on the front cover of most of them) the general feeling is that the jury is no longer out now on Craig. He has silenced his critics (well, apart from you lot... ) and the expectation level is one of anticipation now, that QOS will be even better than CR.

Craig is on the front of Empire, Total Film, GQ, Esquire, Radio Times, and probably a few others. Top Gear magazine have a Bond section on the Aston Martin stunts in QOS, and The Mail on Sunday had a Bond special mag last week. Coke have their Bond advert on telly, I still haven't seen the Heinekin commercial yet, or the Sony HD one featuring Craig (anyone else seen it)? There are a couple of Bond special programmes on TV next week, and Craig is also appearing on Jonathan Ross.

I tried to book a ticket for Odeon Leicester Square on the opening night a couple of weeks ago, and it was nearly all sold out. Even my local cinema had nearly all sold out.

I sense the marketing machine really starting to kick in now. This is going to be bigger than CR, mark my words....

Bigger? How can it be? It is already on the losing end being much shorter in length than CR. They want extra screenings per day with their Rambo-esque creation. They might have more screenings scheduled per day, but aside from the lot at MI6 and the 'Craigamaniacs' here, the theatres may not be as crowded as expected. It will open big, around $55 million in the USA opening weekend, setting the new mark for a Bond film, but then tail off a lot faster than CR did after Craig's Terminator Bond fails to deliver the goods. To those who admire this guy, I really wonder what you are all thinking and how you can honestly say this is what a Bond film is all about. Eon has insulted the rest of us as far as I am concerned with this senseless attempt to recreate Bond into a foreign entity from Fleming's brain child.

Sweeney's talking about the UK, where Craig is a big star. The US may be different, I dunno. I think the lack of any real competition and the extra screenings should ensure a healthy box-office haul here too, though.

It's just the usual marketing campaign, especially here in the UK where Bond is a "British" icon.

The only difference is that I am saving money because I don't have to buy any of the magazines to keep as souvenirs

Thankfully it's been less hysterical than Casino Royale. I did notice a few Craig covers the other day killing some time in town. The funniest one was Esquire. He looked like Pee Wee Herman with a blond toupee on the cover of that.

Most of the direction EON took with Roger Moore isn't my cup of tea, just as EON's direction with Craig isn't yours.

Daniel Craig as Bond is one of the silliest things I have seen. I often think he can't be that bad - then I see picture of him or a clip from one his movies.

Today i have seen some previously unseen footage of QOS on a Scandinavian website, and it is worth viewing,
there is also an interview with DC, and he has answers to some questions.......such as:-

1/ He didn't have plastic surgery, after an accident on set.

2/ There will never be any gay scenes while he plays Bond.

3/ He says the audience will be in for some surprises in the film!

Incidently, i recently saw the film 'TAKEN' starring Liam Nielson..............and what a cracker it was.
LN was superb as an ex-government agent, who uses his skills to try to rescue his daughter from her
kidnappers in Paris. I was surprised at how good LN was in the hand to hand combat scenes, and the feel
had a slightly Bourne touch to it. Check out the reviews to see how good this film is!
Don't miss it when it comes out in the US early next year.

The only slightly negative thing about it is that the film was only 93 minutes long......and could of been
longer without affecting the film.
The reason i mention this is that i wonder how QOS will be with just a 106 minute running time, as there
is a lot of action crammed into the film.........how much will there be for dialogue scenes?
