Nah, I'm not going to castigate you, taking a point from DAF to give to AVTAK is a whole different kettle of fish to taking that point from FRWL.

Because it's not the worst of the bunch, yet. I actually rate it second to OCTOPUSSY when it comes to the Moore flicks.

I toyed with giving TMWTGG's point to LALD instead, but I figured I ought to give YOLT some love, since no-one else will.

LTK has its flaws, but I never understood why certain Bond fans disliked it just because it strayed from the formula. I actually thought it was refreshing to have the Bond character up close front and center. It was no longer about Bond and the mission, it was about Bond. You could say QOS sounds similar in a manner, perhaps, but it won't have Bond being disgusted enough by the governments to resign and go after devil himself. The confrontation with M is one of the best and Dalton sells it, even Robert Brown, who didn't make much of an impression in the earlier films, started to act like M! He acted like a father trying to stop his son from going too far for his own good. I've always liked that dynamic. They're doing a Mother/Bond thing with Judi Dench but I they overkilled that aspect, even before Craig. I think TND was the only film where all she had to do was give orders to Bond and he went off, with no special advice and such.
