Um, I never talked smack of CommanderBond.net. I wasn't a even member of that site until a few days ago, before the shutdown so I really dunno what smack talk I'd make of it. Either way, why does it matter?katied wrote:Yes and you and other MI6'ers talk smack about Commander Bond and you post there when forced to.The reason I continue to bring it up is because it's proof of your hypocrisy.
You and Retrokitty, who rarely if ever posts here but who would give me grief about staying hidden when she did the same thing herself. She doesn't have the right to call me out for something she does herself.Let's just say she has credibility issues and leave it at that

Because you(and other people there)are proving that you're hyprocrites. You can't deny that people at MI6 have been known to act like their messageboard is the only Bond board in existence, yet when it comes to it, they have to go crawling to Commander Bond, who accept you with open arms, even though they KNOW you've talked smack about them in the past.
They didn't have to be nice to you, they were because it was the right thing to do.Something that people at MI6 probably would NOT do in kind(I mean just look at how new posters are treated at MI6

Yes but a lot of the people talking smack ARE the same people who would talk smack about Commander Bond and then post there when forced to.
Thrice hasn't been posting a lot as far as I can see.Which is a good thing. They'll never ban him though(proof of their shoddy moderation

They should have banned you instead. I'd take Thrice over you any day of the week.katied wrote:Yes but a lot of the people talking smack ARE the same people who would talk smack about Commander Bond and then post there when forced to.

Most other messageboards would have banned Thrice a LONG time ago.But there's a high tolerance for B.S. over there

In fact, let's not drag this on this thread. If you wanna keep it up, use the private messaging system.

Luckily bj Brosnan is no longer playing James Bond.bjmdds wrote: Give me the days when you watch a Bond film to enjoy yourself .
We have a new actor in the role. He played OO7 in Casino Royale, a highly praised film by fans, critics, the press and general moviegoers the world over.
I'm surprised you didn't hear about it.
His second film Quantum Of Solace is out next month.
Any plans for a boycott this time?
Probably not eh.

Daniel Craig said he came up with the title Quantum of Solace. He'll be directing Bond 23 (if he's in it).
Bring back Bond!

Did anyone ever believe that The Dark Knight would surpass CR at the international box office, $449 vs. $426 million? Quite an accomplishment. Was it the Legder factor, for BB only did $371 million worldwide?

Well to be fair I don't recall BATMAN BEGINS getting a lot of promotions, hype or anything so maybe that's why it didn't do THAT great. Granted it did good, but it wasn't a box office threat. I think what contributed to TDK was when people discovered BB on DVD and cable, add a very good marketing campaign, ect and you've got a hit.bjmdds wrote:Did anyone ever believe that The Dark Knight would surpass CR at the international box office, $449 vs. $426 million? Would it have made the same without Ledger? I dunno. I was at one of the first screenings for the first teaser trailer (the one with actual footage, not the bat symbol and voice overs) and EVERYONE got jazzed up. TDK was just the perfect storm. It appealed to mass audiences, critics, ect ect. I can imagine if Ledger doesn't get a nom it would ultimately label them Snobish. Sure everyone's thought that before, but this is bigger now. We're talking about a dead actor from a gigantic hit of a film that wasn't just another stupid forgettable blockbuster like Spider-Man.

Indiana Jones and his Crystal Skulls
outdid both internationally with $467 million, yet TDK is approaching 1 billion dollars worldwide which will be more than $200 million above Indy 4
It looks like Bond is third fiddle internationally to both franchises.

What do you mean by that? A #3 spot would actually be an achievement, given that no Bond film has been that high since, well, quite awhile. Bond has only reached #4 worldwide twice in recent years (TND, CR).katied wrote:That doesn't bode well for QOSbjmdds wrote:Indiana Jones and his Crystal Skullsoutdid both internationally with $467 million, yet TDK is approaching 1 billion dollars worldwide which will be more than $200 million above Indy 4

Hoping and wishing..that seem to be teh pro-Craigs' mantra. They're actually trying to convince themselves that QOS will be the hit that CR was.

Gee, sorry for expressing enthusiasm for a Bond film.
