It might have been bogus. They did say that the film has a crap R&B theme song by Alicia Keys. That could never happen in real life. I do know that the Daily Sport printed a legitimate review today and said it was rubbish. Apparently Daniel Craig fluffs his lines, reads from obvious cue cards and even walks straight into the camera at one point with an audible thud.

The Sun print something that's not true? I'm shocked, shocked
They flubbed the McGann rumour big time. Their Doctor Who insiders were in actuality lurkers on the Doctor Who forum  regurgitating unverified information one of the members posted.

What is the story with McGann? I heard he was returning as the Doctor in flashbacks in one of the specials planned for next year.

I notice Daniel Craig has started to appear on countless magazine covers in my local newsagents to signal that QoS is approaching. Joking aside, I take my hat off to him. He's come a long way since he got a start in the business playing Nelix in Star Trek: Voyager.

Nobody knows. The rumour is he would be back for a flashback and perhaps a regeneration. A few juicy titbits tossed in about the army of Genghis Khan and an elephant sitting on the TARDIS.

Others who tried to connect the BBC press office and Paul McGann himself get the answer there is no truth to the story. Some seem to believe that those denials are all part of the PR becasue the Paul news broke too early.

I don't think we will find out until the end of Christmas special where it is customary to show a few cut scenes from the next series.

DC is a talented actor -his version of bond is garbage -he is capable of playing Bond.
too bad he hasn't had the opportunity and won't be looking for it becasue he +the producer are too happy with the mafia thug routine.
Make them serious nudes!

Watched THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS again. I believe this is the Bond film I've watched the most, not that it's my #1 flick, but I just like watching Dalton and get a sort of view of how his tenure would gave been if there hadn't been the legal wranglings. This era was seriously a missed opportunity, it seemed like Dalton was only just getting started. :( If only he had been Bond earlier like say FOR YOUR EYES ONLY, it would have been a perfect start for him. And dammit I wish he had the enthusiasm to return for GOLDENEYE, could have added so much. Replacing him with such an uninteresting actor like Pierce Brosnan was insulting, such a step down for the franchise.

Dalton and Brosnan both had a long history with Cubby. The franchise would be served well by both of them coming on board sooner than they did.
Dalton was done with LTK and it was good that Brosnan came on board when he did. Far from being a bland actor Brosnan restored the franchise to where Connery had it and was one of the most popular actor to take the job on.

If there was something uninteresting it was from the paralysis Cubbys kids had after he died.

Brosnan never reached the success Connery had as Bond. Even Sir Rog was more popular than Brosnan but he never reached Connery either.

The Living Daylights is a wonderful movie - an andedote to Craig's miserable Bond.

sorry wrong. Brosnan was the most popular aside from Connery, Moore was quickly forgotten and Dalton never registered. Lazenby got a charliehorse before running the first lap.
The term gets thrown around too often, in this case it is true. On the street Brosnan was considered the best bond since Connery. Moore Dalton and Lazenby put together didn't capture the attention of the public they way Brosnan did. The excitement when he took the role was real with many considering him the best cast in decades. He met and exceeded expectations. His stories got Bond back on track, closer to the good story telling of Connery's time.

Brosnan contributed greatly to the franchise. He joined it at its all time low and left it at a all time high.

Craig can't be compared to Connery becasue he isnt playing the same character as Connery any more than Woody Allen.

No, but he certainly reversed a long decline in attendance figures.

I don't agree. Brosnan was only closer to the character Connery played in the later Bond films, but Brozza is far closer to the character Moore played, whereas Craig is far closer to the first 2 films portrayed by Connery. More realistic, less gags, harder, more ruthless. Brosnan's rare attempts at this where quickly buried by the more evident light Moore influence.

Very true stocks. If Eon had replaced Dalton (though it would've been far better as you say if Dalton could've played Bond in GE) with another actor, instead of a has been tv star. Alright so Brosnan did have a very large following and even I enjoyed most of his Bond films, but his era should've been so much better.
It doesn't help that GE was the best of his films. No other Bond actor has had his Bond films get progressively worse over the course of their tenure.
If Eon had hired a real actor to continue in the style that Dalton has begun, then the 90's Bonds would've been far more memorable.
Brosnan was nothing more than a poor mans Roger Moore. At least Connery, Moore, Dalton and Craig have there own style. Pierce had to copy from the best. And couldn't do that very well.

Granted, however, can anyone honestly say that any of Brozza's films come close to iconic like THE SPY WHO LOVED ME? :?
