I have to say, I like the music, but the vocals are underwhelming. I'm disappointed. It sounded like a good idea having a duet, but boy did they screw up. It's sub-par, even for Alicia Keys.

I think Jack White should have done the song himself, Alicia Keys just doesn't fit for this kind of music. It sounded like it would work on paper, but the execution is below average.

Absolutely not Alicia Keys fault. After listening to it for the third time it could have been any female singers voice used in the duet.
I'll amend that, it is her fault if she helped to write it, her signing however was so generic as to not be noteworthy.

The lyrics aren't the problem, for me anyway, but Keys. It just doesn't work for me. I dunno if this kinda song is appropriate for duet either, hence why I think Jack White should have done it himself then it might have turned out like another decent rock Bond song. I like his work outside Bond and I think if he worked on his own (or with his sister as The White Stripes) he could have pulled off something better.

But this is all just woulda, shoulda, coulda.

I don't know Keyes voice all that well, to me it could be any number of female singers in the duet.

Agreed, she sounded more like a backing singer than the partner in a duet.

That is the song I know of her. From this one example I should think she'd be an outstanding duet singer. She has a very strong singing voice.

I don't think this isn't the finished version. i think there will be afew more musical flares add but not enough to change the song.

it's awful. I was actually afraid I might like the song, hearing it those fears were relieved. Not a chance in hell.
