Yes...........but Craig looks his age............he's not trying to be a 20's something, and he isn't geriatric looking.......Mazer Rackham wrote:Who looks as old as or older than her father.Arthur Brain wrote:Its whats known as a script.......if the character was asked to kiss 007 then she would...............i mean
Craig is one of the younger Bond actors!!!![]()

Craig is not a young actor, nor a young looking one. Plenty of actors don't look their age, Craig isn't one of them. He gets caked in makeup when they send him out to special events. That can't make him happy.
Craig reminds me of those actor especially in the 1950s and 60s who (on B&W film mostly) tried to play young teenagers. If you had a small enough tv and sat far enough away it might work. If not then it was clear this troubled teenager was on his second marriage working 2 jobs to pay 3 mortgages.
It's not Craig's fault it is just they way he is. He is no Matt Damon.
so i dont see your point..........millions of people seem happy with him!!
A really young actor would seem out of place in these movies!!!

He is out of place for a rookie Bond, and he is out of place for 30 something Bond.
Your average 24 year old leading lady/ love interest/ sex goddess shouldn't look at him and go "OMG, he looks like my dad!!!"
Guess what, that is what a lot of young women are seeing when they look at him. Not a sexy suave 007 but a father figure. Might as well get Connery back

Eh.............Billions don't..........what are you talking about?
There are only a little over 6 billion humanoids on planet Earth, and only a few 10's of millions of them go
or get a chance to see a Bond film.
The reality is that the truer figure is closer to 6 people than BILLIONS!!
CR would of been a dud if that were true!
By the way Connery and Moore certainly looked older than Craig at some time during their tenure as Bond.

ps: I can't believe i have to point out the bleedin obvious to some people here!!!!!!!!!!!

Pointing out the obvious
Apparently some people jusn't don't get why Bond's love interest looking like his daughter is creepy. Gee, having to have something obvious explained to them.. who does that remind me of?

80% of the population of this planet have the chance to go to a theater. I am gobsmacked at your audacity and arrogance to claim to speak for every one who saw CR. To say all 89 million who bought a ticket like, enjoyed or even watched CR is certainly audacious.
More than that bought a ticket to Spider-man 3 and thought it was a waste.
You probably are not familiar with the independent poll theaters conducted, the majority did not believe Craig was Bond nor was credible as Bond. BEFORE somebody here tries to use this , what was not indicated was if they like, enjoyed, or would judge him by a second movie. Similar polls with similar findings are available several places any DCINBers wanting it should look it up for themselves. Keep in mind there are reasons behind the 100s of thousands spend on demographically analyzing Craig before contract changes were allowed. Obviously the studios believes they make money, but the findings did limit how much they would spend to keep him.
But on the simple question was he Bond in CR, then this site is the majority and it is the small franchise fans who are in the minority.
But on the flip side they didn't poll everyone one who saw it

I read the novels back in the mid 80's, long before Damon was probably even walking....go figure!Mazer Rackham wrote:Golly-Gee, I was going to get upon the cross but I see it is already taken
Somebody ought to speak up for Fleming. Anybody? Anybody? No? Guess I'll have to then.
What a load!
Fleming is Bond, that simple.
Nothing of Fleming is in the new series, it is all xeroxed action genre fluff. If you actually had digested what he wrote and not just read it you would miss the atmosphere he described in his book. The relations ship with M, Moneypenny, Mathis, Leiter, Tiger, Quarrel, the food, the cars, the women, the culture. A cornucopia of sustenance for the soul.
I admit that it is not food for small souls. If you got out of it is Bourne, you weren't imbibing what Fleming wrote on the page!
If you can digest it and spew these excuses for a small malignant little man you need to read him again and this time without Matt Damon as your movie/book buddy and without your Daniel Craig reading lamp/night light.
I take it you have read the Fleming novels then?

People could read Fleming's books and never bother with the films. It's obvious that fans of the books think that the books are nothing like teh films stating the obvious there but it had to be said.
