Likewise, expect me to do the same if QOS makes more money than CR.katied wrote:Please god, let POS make less money than CR..so I can rub it in
With Potter out of the way, there's precious little competition, so my money's on Sweeney. The Sweeney wrote:Likewise, expect me to do the same if QOS makes more money than CR.katied wrote:Please god, let POS make less money than CR..so I can rub it in
One of us will be the winner come November. I wonder who it will be....
Personally, I couldn't care less how much money it makes as it won't have any bearing on whether I like the film or not. If the film did not make more money than CR, it would surely be a major disappointment for EON, although safe to say they would not admit it.The Sweeney wrote:Likewise, expect me to do the same if QOS makes more money than CR.katied wrote:Please god, let POS make less money than CR..so I can rub it in

Of course..as would the Craig rah-rah-ers here(even though they claim they wouldn'tPersonally, I couldn't care less how much money it makes as it won't have any bearing on whether I like the film or not. Pretty much the same choices for me.Captain Nash wrote: Anyway I just thought I'd share with you, what you would suggest, and maybe we'll have a new member to the Bond fan family.
I can practically predict the whiny comments from the Craig defenders here007 wrote:London - James Bond actor Daniel Craig has signed on to play Eddie "The Eagle" Edwards, the first competitor to represent Great Britain in Olympic ski jumping. The short sighted and self-funded Edwards became a cult hero in the eighties and has now inspired a biopic - Eddie The Eagle - due to begin filming in 2009. Producer Dickie Corbett said he was delighted to have Craig involved in the project. "Not only is Daniel a big fan of Eddie," said Corbett. "But he actually looks a bit like him. The film will be an uplifting tale about fighting agaisnt the odds to achieve your dreams and, of course, very funny. I think audiences will laugh the moment they see Daniel in Eddie's glasses." Edwards was also the World No 9 in Amateur Speed-skiing (106.8mph) and the Stunt Jumping World Record Holder (10 cars/6 buses).
'Eddie The Eagle' is due in cinemas in late 2009.
Now that's a good piece of casting.007 wrote:London - James Bond actor Daniel Craig has signed on to play Eddie "The Eagle" Edwards, the first competitor to represent Great Britain in Olympic ski jumping. Just as I can predict BJ writing his usual "it's time for EON kick Craig to the curb" rantings- excuse me, "speeches". You all know it's coming.katied wrote: I can practically predict the whiny comments from the Craig defenders here
NSNA wasn't a flop?stockslivevan wrote:Even if it does flop (which is unlikely given NO Bond film has ever flopped), there wouldn't be any way to deny. I'd rather have a good film that flopped over a bad one that was successful, but overall I'd mostly want a good film to be successful.
No EON Bond film has ever lost money (not sure about NSNA or CR67).stockslivevan wrote:Wasn't OHMSS the second highest grossing film of 1969? I can't see how that's a flop. TMWTGG's budget was $7 million, grossing$97 million. LTK made $156 million, with a budget of $32 million. How are those flops? I agree that by Bond standards they are certainly sub-par performance wise but overall they are not flat out flops like a lot of people claim.
