Remember Halle Berry driving a Ford Thunderbird and then stepping out of it in slow motion?

Oh, I see. I agree with you. The product placement in the last couple of Bond films has been shameless.

When has product placement in Bond films ever not been shameless? Moonraker was probably the worst offender, but it has been there almost as long as the series has been running.

He probably did notice, but its water off a ducks back on here, with endless Craig taunts flying around constantly.

I don't have a link for this, just nicked it off another forum. It's quite interesting though.

NEW YORK - It's not easy being Bond. Roger Moore, who starred in seven Bond films in the 1970s and 1980s, recounts his days as the dashing super-spy in his upcoming memoir, "My Word Is My Bond," and says things weren't always as they seemed.

"Jimmy Bond had a big jet boat chase in `Live and Let Die,'" writes Moore, now 80. "I did quite a few run-throughs to practice and whilst banking on one such run, the engine cut out. I had no steering! I therefore continued in a straight line ... directly into a wooden boat house."

He instantly catapulted from the boat into a wall, cracking his front teeth and twisting his knee.

"There I was, as a fearless 007, hobbling on a cane to my boat and then pretending to be indestructible for the cameras. Who says I can't act?"

Moore replaced Sean Connery in the 007 franchise in 1973. His films include "The Spy Who Loved Me," "Live and Let Die," "The Man With the Golden Gun" and "A View to a Kill."

The book, due out Nov. 4, also recounts the time Moore bumped into a young Steven Spielberg at a Paris hotel.

"He was a huge Bond fan and said that he would love to direct one of the films," Moore says. "He'd recently had great success with `Jaws' and `Close Encounters' and was considered a very hot property. I was rather excited at this news and went looking for (film producer Albert R. `Cubby' Broccoli) to tell him."

But Broccoli, who steered the Bond franchise over three decades, shook his head and asked, "Do you know how much of a percentage he'd want?"

"It's always been policy that no Bond director ever got a slice of the box office profits," Moore says. "So, Spielberg went off and made `Indiana Jones' who I reckon to be a period James Bond!"

Yup, all the way back to that shot of the Smirnoff bottle in Dr. No.

London - James Bond actor Daniel Craig has signed on for action flick "Lethal Dragon", set to begin shooting later this year in Prague and Hong Kong. Craig, 43, will team up with rapper BMX and Tom Arnold in the high-kicking adventure from French director Hugo Patisserie. The next James Bond adventure "Quantum Of Solace" will premiere at Halloween and the actor's busy slate looks set to continue into 2009 with a sequel to "Flashbacks Of A Fool" in the works.

Not a Bond film, that's for sure. And your running to Daniel Craig's defense is predictable.

Any time anyone says something negative about Daniel Craig you're right there with some sort of rah rah comment

Looking forward to it!!!

At first I thought you were just against the direction of QOS, being against Craig as Bond entirely is something new to me! What happened? You used to be a BIG fan.
And your running to Daniel Craig's defense is predictable. Any time anyone says something negative about Daniel Craig you're right there with some sort of rah rah comment
And your slamming of Craig these days is even more predictable. Any time anyone says something positive about Daniel Craig you're right there with a hundred rolling eyes saying something along the lines of "yeah, sure" instead of contributing to a valid debate.

:P

It would be predictable of Katied to be completely dismiss this post with rolling eyes and an attitude, because there's no other way for her to get the last word other than copping out. Please prove me wrong Katied! Please show you can actually contribute into this forum!

The most unfortunate thing is that we will be subjected to Daniel Craig's crappy art house non-Bond movies like Flashbacks until he isn't Bond anymore. Seriously, just because it's Daniel Craig it's assumed that people will want to see it.Not really. :P

Now I know you're really trying to fit in this forum. Opinions don't change that dramatically in so little time.
I'm all for free speech. But when free speech consist of nothing more than spamming every thread about Bond 22 about how much you hate Daniel Craig, then no, I don't. MI6 is nowhere NEAR the Craig lovefest that people make it out to be-I have NEVER said that people who don't like Daniel Craig should not post there-that's putting words in my mouth.I think certain people are outspoken where Daniel Craig is concerned but that's their deal, not mine. I like Daniel Craig as Bond *shrug* but I certainly don't think he's the second coming of Christ.
Dramatic indeed.

I've read that the US release of QOS has been put back a week to the 14th November............with the withdrawal of the Potter film............Sony see this move as a boost to gain as much of an audience for
QOS over the thanksgiving weekend, as the film will still be in wide release..................another smart move
by Sony.

Interesting. I don't really see a week or two difference mattering much.Unless Sony aren't confident about it being a success or something
